My friend’s mother insisted they were going to protest at her daughter’s funeral. The daughter drove drunk and now the cousins want to take action to make sure people do not make the choice to drive drunk. However, they’re not sure if they should get involved with M.A.D.D. activities because of the “rumor.” Help?

I am pretty sure that is a rumor, though it could certainly be a case of a local branch of a larger group going to an extreme. I ran a search and couldn’t find any evidence of this happening, nor does the MADD site say anything about funeral protests.
If you do find out for certain that this has happened you should contact MADD and let them know. I’m sure they would be interested to learn that some of their members are engaging in this sort of activity.
