Common symptoms in cancer

  • Posted on January 4, 2010 at 10:21 pm

Cancers are frequently associated with specific complaints, which are respectively for the particular cancer, such as bloody cough in lung cancer. Many affected people are suffering but also to non-specific symptoms that can occur in many different cancers in the same way. These symptoms can also occur as concomitant symptoms in other diseases (such as the cardiovascular system or the lungs) or as a temporary “mood disorder” in healthy subjects. Someone suffering from such symptoms should therefore not necessarily think immediately of a cancer. Here are just a reliable diagnosis can help to correctly classify the complaints.

Anorexia:
Loss of appetite, decreased appetite or early satiety occur in many cancer patients in the short or long term. Occasionally it can also lead to an aversion to certain foods, such as for meat. As a result, may lose an interested party during such a “no appetite” phase of weight.

Weight Loss:
Also independent of appetite and the amount of daily calories fall on many subjects with a cancer that they lose weight. The reason is that a growing tumor has a high energy demand. Therefore, a part of the energy is supplied in the diet consumed by the tumor and the body is no longer available. The body must then, when food intake is not increased, rely on endogenous reserves. This is usually the body that every man in smaller or larger scale geological storage under the skin. When this fat reserve is depleted, the body attacks the proteins contained in the muscles and builds the muscles from this. The consequences of the consumption of fat and muscle protein are weight loss, a “slimmer” appearance and physical weakness.

Weakness:
A weakness is perceived by cancer patients, often independently of weight loss. Or feel faint, weak and less productive. Pressures or efforts that were easily dealt with before the illness, now appear to be very stressful and can hardly be overcome.

Pain:
In the course of many cancer pain occurs. These are usually due to the fact that the tumor displaces the surrounding tissue grows into adjacent organs or presses on nerves. The location of pain depends on the location of the tumor. It can also occur so-called propagated pain. A pain will not be seen at his place of origin, but in a different region of the body. This may be the case when a tumor presses on a nerve that for a given region of the body “responsible” for the region. For example, pain in the hand can be seen, although a tumor grows in the cervical spine. There, he presses on the spinal nerves springing from the roots, which go with their nerve fibers into the hand.

Fever:
Occasionally, an increase in body temperature to be determined for the fever. But this is a generally rather rare symptom. Somewhat more frequently, it may occur in the context of specific cancers, for example) lymphoma (lymph node cancer), leukemia (blood cancer. Even though in the context of a widening of the liver cancer by “Daughter tumors (metastases) of the original tumor is infected, it may cause a temperature increase. A temperature rise may also occur if a tumor is divided, for example because it has reached a size that an adequate blood supply is no longer allowed to die and therefore some parts of the tumor. It must not be neglected in a temperature increase occurring in a cancer patient that there are other reasons for the increased temperature to be responsible than the cancer itself can, for example, infectious diseases (influenza, cystitis, pneumonia).

Sweating:
Also independent of elevated body temperature may occur in some patients, especially night sweats as additional symptoms. This is observed in particular at a specific type of tumor, a lymphoma (lymph node cancer.

Itching:
Occasionally, patients complain of itching. This symptom occurs particularly in Hodgkin’s disease (a specific lymphatic cancer) and in leukemia (blood cancer). But even where there has been “daughter tumors located in the liver is observed that symptoms of disease. The reason is that in the liver did not produce more bile flow into the duodenum may be because the “daughter of tumors,” so to speak, of the bile “block the way.” Since the bile is continuously produced in the liver, however, it must find other ways. They usually first enters the bloodstream and in the further course of the disease process deposited in the skin. This ensures on the one hand (for a yellowish skin color “jaundice”), on the other hand itching occurs.

All of these “non-specific symptoms” such as decreasing appetite, general physical weakness, declining performance, pain, increased body temperature or fever, sweating and itching, can be very stressful and that restrict everyday activities may be substantial. Important part of any cancer therapy is, therefore, in addition to the actual tumor treatment. This can be done by drugs (eg, to relieve pain and to reduce fever), by means of “physical measures (eg, cooling with cold compresses), fever or through physical therapy (eg, circulation and muscle strengthening exercises for general weakness.

Jesus Has an S&m Party to Attend

JESUS HAS AN S&M PARTY TO ATTEND

I have had glimpses of this for some time now. It has not been as clear as the show bar word. Jesus is going to make an appearance at S&M parties. He isn’t bringing judgment. He is bringing wine. A big keg of joyful wine. New wine. Fresh wine. Addictive wine. It will be a suddenly. People will be having their underground sex party and suddenly an unexpected guest will make his appearance.

Suddenly a party of sex will be transformed into a party of ecstasy. A different kind of ecstasy. The kind of ecstasy not found in a pill or a bottle. The kind of ecstasy that Brother Lawrence and St. Teresa Of Avila experienced. I see a sudden freedom. Liberation and laughter. Liberation from a mind that binds. Why should revival be closed in behind church walls? God can visit who and where ever he wants. And Jesus has an S&M gig to attend. I see people totally wiped out and wacked out in the Spirit. People will say “These people have lost their minds!”.

They will be filled to the brim and healed from within. Inner wounds being healed. Many sons and daughters will return to their mothers and fathers and families will be reunited. Something will change that night. Lives will be transformed. Hope will return There will be laughter and joy as the Lord fills, fills, fills to the brim. A new wine of another kind.

Pentecost In Bible Studies And Cell Groups

I see a suddenly occur in little faithful bible studies and cell groups. I see a wind and I see a fire. I then see crying out hour after hour after hour. I see a hunger. A mighty hunger within. Small towns will changed. There will be wild fire in the streets and hospitals. A fire no man can contain. Other cities I don’t see this. I see people going to bed one night and waking up the next morning to realize that hell has come to there city. The media will be in shock.

Cops patrolling the streets. Crime running rampant.

JESUS IS GOING TO DANCE CLUBS AND BARS TO GET DRUNK

One night while lying on my bed, the Holy Spirit prompted me to hold my fingers like I was smoking a joint and to take a hit. I did and I got totally wasted on Jesus. I did again and got more wasted. I got so wasted that I could literally not see straight and since then I have had dreams and visions. I could see many dance clubs and bars. I could see people enter the clubs and bars and they were drunk, but not drunk as you suppose.

They were wild and crazy. They were totally and completely insane to the natural mind. They were thinking from another place. Another world. Not only were bars being transformed but cities were as well. It looked like Brownsville or Toronto, or all the previous revivals we have read about or have been a part of. The only difference is that it was everywhere. It was at Wal Mart and Taco Bell.

I saw spontaneous preaching from tables and bar stools. I saw water Baptism with beer mugs and in horse troughs. I saw spontaneous worship, singing and revival. I saw people not only unable to drive, but to even leave. They would lay on the bar rooms floor or Wal Mart or where ever for hours. And once they did leave they would only fall back into a trance for weeks at a time.

I saw people being healed and signs and wonders. It wasn’t from laying on of hands, but a thick Glory that would enter the places or cities. I could even see visual manifestations of the Glory. You have permission to repost this just at the link to my blog. Thanks Kevin

What is this movie about a young guy kills another young girl because of drunk driving?

  • Posted on January 4, 2010 at 10:06 pm

I think it was a Lifetime channel movie. All I remember is that after it happened the mother of the girl made the “drunk driver” write her a check for $1 every week for a certain amount of time – so he would remember as much as she had to remember the loss of her daughter. If anyone has a clue – I would appreciate it. Thanks.

Holiday Tips to Reduce Stress

  • Posted on January 4, 2010 at 9:25 pm

Holiday tips

In resent Holiday Polls in Americans found that  Christmas holidays are more stressful than enjoyable. I’m sure that those polls are pretty much the same every year at this time !Do we need to stress in this great  holiday season ? By making conscious decisions and setting priorities, you can stay in control this holiday season and keep all the stress behind .

Boss Yourself

At back-to-school night this year, my first-grade daughter’s teacher told us parents that she frequently tells a tattling child to “Boss yourself.” What this means, she explained, is that the child should make sure she is doing the right thing instead of paying so much attention to what the other children are doing. I loved this saying and have been using it at home with my children as well.

Ummm, so what does this have to do with Christmas stress? Well, the same guidelines can apply for Christmas as well. Don’t worry about what other people are getting their kids for Christmas. Don’t worry that the neighbors across the street already have their lights up and you can’t even remember where yours are. Don’t worry that the cookies you are bringing to the cookie exchange are store-bought instead of homemade. You and you family need to decide where you want to spend your time and money this holiday season and don’t worry about what anyone else is doing.

Give Yourself the Gift of Time

Christmas was not meant to be packed into a day. The “Twelve Days of Christmas” is more than just a song, after all. Christmas is a season that goes from December 24-January 6. That gives you 12 more days to get your Christmas cards sent out!

You can also give yourself the gift of time by cutting out activities no one really enjoys. Ask everyone in you family to pick on or two Christmas activities they really enjoy, and then focus on getting those activities done. Let everything else go.

Set a Budget and Stick to It

Extra expenses can certainly make you feel stressed out. Don’t judge the success of your Christmas by the number of packages under the tree. If you have a large family you buy presents for, suggest some ways to help reduce costs for everyone:

Buy gifts just for the children
Draw names so everyone buys a gift for only one person
Set a limit on the cost of gifts
Give homemade gifts
Do something together as a family , like a movie with all the siblings
Help others in need instead of you this Christmas

When you do go shopping for gifts, shop early in the Christmas season to avoid the last-minute crowds. Also consider shopping online. Many retailers offer free shipping during the holidays.

Now is the best time to shop online with all the great deals you can get on the web .

Cook Up Some Memories

So many memories involve food! Food plays a very important role in Christmas celebrations, from cookies to candies to Christmas dinners. If you enjoy cooking and baking, you’ll love this part of Christmas. If you don’t…remember our Christmas rule for this year: Boss yourself. Buy goodies, trade with friends, or just decide to be healthy and skip the treats altogether.

Even if you enjoy baking, it can be hard to find time to get it done at Christmas. It’s fun to set aside one day and have a marathon baking day with a friend. You enjoy special time together, and at the end of the day, you split all the goodies. Another option is to have a cookie exchange with a group of friends, where everyone brings a treat and you all share the goodies.

What about Christmas dinner? Growing up in my family, Christmas dinner was basically a repeat of Thanksgiving dinner. This meant that as soon as the presents were opened Christmas morning, it was time to head to the kitchen and start cooking. When I wanted to play with my new toys, I was peeling potatoes instead. To get yourself out of the kitchen this year,

Start a new tradition and change your menu. A crock pot full of soup, tacos, or lasagna can make a great Christmas meal. You don’t have to eat turkey or ham.
If you do want a more traditional meal, make it a potluck and ask people to bring items.
Order some items from a restaurant or grocery store.

Take Care of Yourself

You know the rules for taking care of yourself – get enough sleep, eat right, exercise, drink plenty of water. It’s just following the rules that is tough. The busier you are, though, the more important it is that you take care of yourself. You won’t be any good to anyone if you get sick.

Whether or not your regularly write in a journal, try keeping a holiday journal. A journal will help you next year remember what you enjoyed and what you didn’t enjoy. You can also use it to reflect on your blessings and your spiritual journey through the Christmas season. By adding to your journal each year, you will create a wonderful keepsake for your family as well as a record to help you make Christmas better each year.

You know one way I was able to make Christmas a fun time this year was to take on a secret online business AND MAKE IT WORK FOR ME while not ever letting anyone in my family know what I was doing and let me tell you, it paid off big time. So for the future to come , just try something new every year so that the Stress that is cause by the holidays does not effect you because you will be on you your way to a big and better you ! Happy Holidays, From me, to you !

Obstetrics and Gynaecology Treatment Specialists solved only in Aastha Health Care Hospital, mumbai, mulund, india

  • Posted on January 4, 2010 at 9:21 pm

A woman starts her journey as a daughter fulfilling the expectations of her family. She then becomes a wife, and supports the needs of her family. As a mother, then she becomes an epitome of sacrifice and surrenders completely for the needs of her child. In the old age, she plays an important role in holding her family together and providing guidance to the youngsters. She plays all these roles with dignity and grace and hence womanhood is ever saluted. During this entire phase, she also submits her body to numerous pains and tortures, physical abuse and more.

No branch of medicine has changed as radically in the past three decades, as has Obstetrics and Gynaecology. This specialty has expanded its horizons and interests. The obstetrician and gynaecologist has assumed new roles and reverted to traditional relationships with the female patient:

* As a primary physician for women from the menarche to the end of life;
* As a protagonist for social awareness and change in women’s rights, human sexuality, contraception and population dynamics;
* As a biological scientist whose major focus is human reproduction in all of its physiologic and pathologic aspects.

At the same time, we cannot forget that this is an intensely human, emotion-laden process which must not lose its psychological character and force in a welter of scientific methodology. So Aastha has a special cell for Obstetrics and Gynaecology to recognize the problems of these amazing women and take care of them. This special cell offers the care of the pregnant woman, her unborn child and the management of diseases specific to women.

At Aastha, we have introduced the concept of ‘painless delivery’. And not only this, we have combined clinical expertise along with latest technologies to meet the unique needs of infants by providing a comprehensive array of general, tertiary and specialty care. While keeping pace with the latest advances in medical science, we have also ensured that the human elements of caring and compassion have remained the same. This is the reason why Aastha has become the choice for those who desire a family-centred maternity experience with the added assurance of a highly specialized staff and the most advanced equipment for any special needs that may arise.

Our specialty offers a wide range of sub-specialties areas, which include Maternal-foetal Medicine, Gynaecologic Oncology, Gynaecological Urology, Reproductive Medicine and Community Gynaecology. At Aastha, we encourage more of minimal invasive procedures to ensure speedy recovery of our patients. Laparoscopy is a minimally invasive approach that involves specialized video equipment and instruments that allows a surgeon to operate inside the body through tiny incisions, most of which are less than a half-centimetre in size. So the laparoscopy surgeries are more preferred because the healing rate is faster. This enables the patient to resume her normal activities much faster compared to the traditional ‘open surgeries’. Continue below to learn more about our comprehensive obstetrical programs and gynaecological surgeries.

* Laparoscopic Hysterectomy
* Laparoscopic Tubal Ligation
* Laparoscopic Ovarian Cystectomy
* Laparoscopic Ectopic Pregnancy Evacuation
* Laparoscopic Myomectomy for Fibroids
* Diagnostic Laparoscopy

Changes in Diets for Children With Adhd Can Help

  • Posted on January 4, 2010 at 9:20 pm

If you want to help your child decrease some of those ADHD symptoms, you will need to experiment with what you’re feeding them. Since studies have shown a link between ADHD and and what children eat, simply eliminating or adding certain foods may decrease symptoms or even get rid of them.

To me, changes in diets for children with ADHD, is much more preferable to prescription drugs. That’s because natural remedies, such as diet control, will get to the root of the problem rather than just putting a bandaid on it, which is exactly what the drugs will do.

Remember, a change to a healthy diet is a good thing. There is no downside to ADHD recommended diets that promote healthy eating.

Here is a diet that my son’s psychologist suggested.

You need to eliminate these foods for a couple of weeks:

* Dairy Products- The most important one to eliminate, from diets for children with adhd, is milk from a cow. There are other animals that produce milk, but I chose to replace it with water. And not just a glass or two. I had my son drink at least 6 glasses per day. Don’t cheat and give then kool-aid or ice tea because they don’t count as water. ADHD recommended diets, and for that matter all diets, include lots of water.

* Yellow foods- This will include, but not limited to, corn, yellow beans, and yellow squash.

* All junk food- Say bye bye to potato chips, McDonalds, and everything else with no nutritional value.

* Fruit juices- Way too much sugar. One glass of orange juice equals about six oranges.

* Sugar- This is probably the toughest one to eliminate because it’s in so many foods and drinks. If you can’t eliminate it 100%, come as close as you can. (Remember it’s only for two weeks)

* Candy- especially chocolate

* Artificial sweeteners- includes saccharin, nutrasweet, aspartame I know, I know! That was your solution to no sugar right?

* MSG- If you see this in the ingredients, put ot back on the shelf.

* Processed meats- When you read the ingredient label and you can’t pronounce them, put it back on the shelf.

* Fried chicken- and any thing else that is fried.

* Artificial food dyes- They will be listed as probably Red, yellow, or blue dye number whatever. Don’t touch them for now.

Once the two weeks are up you can start putting these food back into your child’s diet in the following manner.

Add one food every other day. Eat as much of that food as possible every day for four days. If your child has a problem with one of the foods, you will see some kind of a “reaction” within four days, such as hives on the body, or ears turning bright red, or even an increase in hyperactivity. If there’s a problem, you’ll know. If there’s no problem, you can include that food in ADHD recommended diets for your child.

Diets for children with ADHD should include as much organic food as you can afford because I know organic food can be expensive. Organic food is grown without all the dangerous long-lasting pesticides, herbicides and fungicides. Also include a healthy portion of fruits and vegetables your child’s diet.

Dietary control is just one part of an alternative treatment for ADHD. When combined with herbal and homeopathy remedies and behavioral therapy, natural treatment can be just as effective and much safer than prescription medicines. I’m sure your son or daughter will thank you in the future for the natural approach.
