My sister told me that last week my cousin graduated from high school. She said that after the graduation, my aunt bought a box of chicken, mac & cheese, & 4 cans of corn. & she opened up “1″ can for EVERYBODY to eat. My sister also always complains about how my aunt feeds you so little of food that you can actually count the # of corn kernels on your plate. My aunt & uncle are both alcoholics. & I heard my uncle didn’t even go to his daughter “my cousin’s” graduation because he so-claimed to be too tired.
I mean, LONG-TERM alcohol use. & also, she wasn’t drunk at the time.

Help! My daughter and I are on the verge of being homeless!!?
I am a single mom with a 12 1/2 year old daughter. I have struggled for years with horrible, nowhere jobs. For the past 2 years Catholic Charities had been paying my rent while I went to college to work on my AA degree in Addictions counseling. Unfortunately, their funding has been cut and the will no longer be able to help us. What’s worse is the lease is up for renewal in September and they are raising the rent from $831-$913/month. It’s just way too much for me to pull off so I will have to move out.I decided the best move was to put school on hold for now and I was accepted into the 6week Nursing Assistant course at one of the local Nursing homes. I get paid while I am taking the class, but only minimum wage and I only get between 15-25 hours per week. Once we finish the class in the beginning of September I will get a raise and full time hours, but that first full paycheck is going to come just before our deadline to move out. I have no idea what to do! Does anyone have any ideas?

If it were true, according to the article, the person who took the pic “punched a hole” in their devise and tossed it in a lake. Shouldnt that person have saved the evidence for verification?

How do I help my 19 year old daughter who is struggling to stay off meth?
She’s been clean 72 days & I don’t seem to know what to say or do to help her! I love my daughter with all my heart & hate all the “stress” staying clean is causing her but I realize her life hangs in the balance. Using meth had her on the verge of having her probation revoked and being sent to prison.
If there is anyone reading this who has been in a similar situation & has gotten positive results from some particular thing you’ve said or done and doesn’t mind offering me some much needed (constructive) advice — it will be most appreciated.

My daughter and her best friend were on the back of a 4wheeler with her best friend’s mother driving. She had been drinking, and crashed. My daughter was injured. Should I have notified the Police? By law the hospital had an obligation to, and did and she was arrested for DUI. In the state of washington, driving any vehicle with a motor when impaired, private property or not can result in a DUI. What will become of this friendship?

My 17 year old daughter has decided she wants to live with her dad. Her teenage years have been difficult, and I suspect that she has lately been abusing prescription amphetamines. We had an argument several months ago and she attacked me, and then called the police because I would not let her leave with the car in the middle of a snowstorm. I let them take her to her dad’s house because I was worried that she would leave and walk there in the snow anyway. For several months preceding this she had been moody, disrespectful, and verbally abusive to me after a drawn out and emotional break up with her boyfriend. I insisted that she go to the doctor and be evaluated for depression and the doctor recommended blood tests and counseling. She refuses to go and her father refuses to get her the help she needs. I have sole custody of her right now and she turns 18 in 5 months, when neither I or her father will be able to force her to get psychiatric or drug counseling. What should I do?
