DUI Probation, caught speeding. What next?

  • Posted on September 8, 2010 at 2:23 pm

My friends boyfriend was on probation for DUI or DWI…not sure which. He is on driving restriction other then going to and from work until 2009 and is on probation. Recently my friend rented a car in her name, then he used the car to drive to another town. Along the way he was caught speeding. She talked the cop out of arresting him when she went to pick up the car, however his insurance is dropping him, they are having to sell his truck and are concerned now when he goes to court if he will go to jail or have his driving privideges taken away for life.

I would like anyones advice as to how to help them, and if you have seen this situation happen before what happened. She is very worried he will never drive again as they have a daughter together and she is very busy.

My newborn tested positive for cocaine. I don’t use drugs. What are ways for that to happen besides amoxicilli

  • Posted on September 8, 2010 at 1:22 pm

CPS took my daughter from me because of the test result. I swear I’ve never touched cocaine before. The other sites I’ve been on say amoxicillin, liver disease, kidney disease, and diabetes can cause a false positive result. None of those apply to me. During my pregnancy I had 4 drug tests which came out negative. They won’t believe the no drug use theory. Somebody please help figure this out!! I would never endanger my child in this way. Isn’t there anything else that could create a false positive result?

Dream: dead relative badly scratching my daughter’s back?

  • Posted on September 8, 2010 at 1:21 pm

Background: I had a dream about a deceased female cousin who was brutally hit by a reckless driver almost two years ago. I was not on good terms with her for many different reasons. She had addictions and bad habits but did not deserve her outcome and she had a very bad childhood. I was mad with her right before she passed away. The reckless driver was not punished since he was in the police academy. The Dream: takes place in a living room with myself, several cousins(adults) and my youngest daughter. My deceased cousin is also present but in the dream is alive. The majority of the dream is my deceased cousin begging to play with my youngest daughter outside. I repeatedly say no but then do allow her to play in the other room with my daughter. My daughter then runs to me crying about what happened to her in the room. She turns around and shows me her severely scratched back. My daughter clearly tells me Lori (deceased cousin) had scratched her back. It is a very eerie dream since it involved my daughter being hurt by a deceased cousin who I think about often; her life while she was alive was very bad. I am not sure what to think of this.

Help my ex is an addict and I want to just go on with life..?

  • Posted on September 8, 2010 at 12:17 pm

Almost 2 weeks ago my ex went on a valium binge and left work for this came home with a donut on the car and said he had a blow out. I called paramedics he refused treatment. He went into rehab nov last year and to date has relapsed 3 times. He blames our split up on me and is staying with his mom (enabler 1) and her girlfriend and RN (enabler 2). They dislike that I say he’s an addict and are in denial, I want him to be sober for our 1 yr old daughter but i’m the only one who is fighting for him. He verbally abuses me now and they are just feeding him lies about me, they tell him I tried to get him committed. I have tried to reason with both of them to no avail. Now he took my daughter while I was at work and has her now while he’s using. Drugs of choice pills methadone and benzo’s. I just want to go on with life but I also want him in our daughters but sober please advise i still love him very much but don’t know what to do………..?

18 month old won’t drink…?

  • Posted on September 8, 2010 at 11:23 am

My 18 months old step-daughter won’t drink anything! She has had dry diapers ALOT lately.. This just started pretty recently.. We have her every other week. She ised to LOVE milk and drink from a bottle and i could never get her to drink from a sippy cup. THen all the sudden one week we got her back and she would NOT take a bottle. I asked her mom, she said try a cup. So I gave her sippy cup and she drank a little bit and now all she will do is drink like 1/2 ounce and then she acts like shes scared of it.. WHY?… She is also not walking, not cruising, hardly pulls up on anything, doesnt talk, and she shakes real bad when I get her up in the morning..?? I know something is wrong with this child. I am going to take her to a doctor.. Shes very scared and skiddish. When she comes to us from her moms house, she is very different. I can;t talk to her mom about anything because she is the biggest liar in the world. She lies about everything and just gives me BS answers all the time! Thanks
She is actually underweight.. Well shjes like in the 1% for her age!! When we got joint custody at 1 year, she was wearing 3-6 month clothing.. She has gained 6lbs in the past 5 months since weve had her and her hair has grown like 4 inches!.. She says dada a little.. And you don;t understand, she will not “pick her own cup” .. She is not like that, she can’t do that normal stuff. She is like a newborn when it comes to that. I dont think shes like other 18 month olds, but then again Ive never been around anoth 18 month old! So I am lost.. BUT I did make an appt for her and they said I CANT BRING HER! I have to go up and get paper work that my husband and her mom has to fill out and THEN I can take her.. So this week I will be taking her. I DO HOPE that we can get full custody. Because I know something is wrong. I have gotten reports of her mom giving her nyquil and not feeding her and etc.. BAD stuff! Thanks for all the answers!

My brother stole my car and I don’t have Insurance, what do I do now?

  • Posted on September 8, 2010 at 11:22 am

My brother took my car while I was at a BBQ, He was slightly intoxicated and had his 8 year old daughter in the back seat, He ended up hitting a parked truck on the road, less than a half mile from my house. My whole right side of my car is gone, My mirror, antenna, side columns, head light, right side of my bumper, and my A frame of my SUV is broken, I couldn’t drive it as if i tried my right tire would of popped off. I had to get it towed. My SUV is a 2006 Jeep liberty. I don’t have insurance on it right now, although I had an insurance card before i got it canceled, which state’s I’m still covered until October 3rd. (which i showed the cop) My dad thinks that my car will just be totaled. I owe more than $12,000 on this car. The truck he hit also has severe damage to the back left tail light and broken his A frame in the back as well. The cops were called and luckily the cop that came was really nice and waited for me to get to the scene. He cited my brother for failure to control and my brother got really lucky he didn’t get a ride to the police station. My brother just got a DUI less than 2 weeks ago. My dad said that the money for my car and the guy’s truck to be fixed is going to come out of my pocket. I am only 19 I do not want to be in debt, this was my first car. I’m pissed at my brother and he has decided he is not going to go to court and he’s going to run so it’s all going to be my responsibility since my brother is a dummy. What do I do? Do i call and get my insurance reinstated and hope they cover it or do i just pay it out of my pocket?

I didn’t have insurance on that car as I have not been driving it since i just moved back to Ohio from Arizona 3 months ago.

Honest answers PLEASE! I’m in over my head.
Is there any way the guy who owns the truck can sue me for the damages? Can I be held responsible?

My brother got a hold of the keys as I am home for the summer and live at my parents house where he also lives. **stupid me**
i didn’t have insurance on it cause i never drove it i have 2 cars!

  • Posted on September 8, 2010 at 11:22 am

My 19 year old daughter was in a car with some other girls the driver was stopped for a yellow light, they breathalyzered the drive she passed. My daughter refused the breathalyzer and the police never took her to the hospital for a blood test. Issued her a citation, does she need a lawyer at the hearing?
