We were at a family wedding and my 20 year old daughter and all the young cousins were drinking and having lots of fun….We were all staying at a hotel…so no one was driving. After we got back to the hotel and the parents went to sleep…about 3 housrs after the wedding ended.., my daughter decides to hang out with some of the other 20 – 24 year olds that were at the wedding and smoke pot. After a few hits, my daughter starts to feel really bad. She knocked on my hotel door and said she really felt like she was dying and she wanted to go to the hospital.. She looked terrible…she was gray and shaking. The hospital was 8 minutes away…We started to drive her and on the way she started vomiting severely….non-stop for about ffive minutes, so we then called the ambulance who came and transported her to the hospital. When we got to the hospital her heart rate was over 140….the er doctor said that the pot was either laced with something or that she was severely allergic to the pot. My “little angle” insisted that this was her first time trying it…(not real sure if I believe it).. Anyway, my question is waht to do now? I am grateful that she came to me for help, but also real upset that it happened in the first place…….She goes to community college and lives at home and I do not know if there should be consequences for her trying the pot…..Please let me know your opinions… Thanks

i have a great two yr old named cadence leigh. her father has always had a struggle with drugs off and on throughout the yrs but when he and i were together i assumed he had the urges under control. we stayed together for 3 yrs and he just walked out 1 day when our daughter was 3 months old. he has lived in 2 apts since then and now he lives in a drug community. the apartments are trashed and theres partying all of the time. he has no custody rights, due to a magistrate and a judge ordering that he needed to get his life in order and by no means he have any rights or visitation. he hasnt paid child support since july. it is hard because she asks for him all of the time and for the past 2 months i have taken her to his apt and stayed with her and him and watched him snort pills up his nose with our daughter in the livingroom. i know it is wrong to even take her there, but it pulls at my heart to watch her cry and to ask for her father. he is so good with her when they are together and they have always had the strongest of bonds and he turns it all around on me until i get to the point and give in. i love him so much and want him to get help and i love our child so much that i just feel like keeping her from him will damage her in the long run. it isnt just pills now, its heroin, drinking, coke and basically all he can get his hands on. i buy dinner and put groceries in the house when i go there and last weekend i met his roomate and he is 65 yrs old and drinks a lot of beer. i dont know what to do…can someone please help

My wife has an older sister.the sister is 40,runs with Lesbians and had only one boyfriend in hgh school,so any of her “significant others” are not really stable or considered a threat.
Their Father consumes a 6 pack a day on average.The entire family attacks and man that the youngest daughter is with,I assume that the man such as myself becomes thrown into the “Middle Child Sydrome” in the psychlogical dealings with their family unit.
My wife ad I are now seperated with a 16 month old Son.She and my Son are living with her parents.Will my Son be thrown into the “Middle Child Sydrome ” in this family unit now?Or are their known studies on the classic alcoholic dysfunctional family on how grandchildren are intigrated into such a family unit?

I love my son Jeff, more than life. 4 yrs ago he had a baby with a girl that ran off to New York to be a Stripper when Zoe’ was a few months old. Immediately, this 18-yr-old girl came out of nowhere. She and her mother are full blown narcassists. They have treated Zoe’, me and Jeff HORRIBLE. Recently, birthmom comes back, demands DNA test and of course Jeff is not Zoe’s biological father. Jeff’s dad is a well known child molester. Jeff and Natalie had a baby, didn’t want to be bothered with Zoe’ so she was sent to the pedaphile. Zoe’ stayed with her other grandmother, Carol. Carol’s 16 yr-old daughter on probabtion for meth, has been waking Zoe’ up in the night making Zoe’ suck her nipples and God only knows what else. This child is in severe trouble. Her mother Jessica has mentioned that her new husband wants to adopt Zoe’. This guy is bad news, I just know it. Zoe’ needs to be completely taken away from ALL of those people, including my beloved son. Please someone…help

Bill figured he had nothing to lose, so he filled a jar with a urine sample and went to the drug store. Finding the computer, he poured in the sample and deposited the $10. The computer started making some noise and various lights started flashing. After a brief pause out popped a small slip of paper on which was printed: You have tennis elbow. Soak your arm in warm water. Avoid heavy lifting. It will be better in two weeks.
Late that evening while thinking how amazing this new technology was and how it would change medical science forever, he began to wonder if this machine could be fooled. He decided to give it a try. He mixed together some tap water, a stool sample from his dog and urine samples from his wife and daughter. To top it off, he masturbated into the concoction.
He went back to the drug store, located the machine, poured in the sample and deposited the $10. The computer again made the usual noise and printed out the following message:
Your tap water is too hard. Get a water softener. Your dog has worms. Get him vitamins. Your daughter is using cocaine. Put her in a rehabilitation clinic. Your wife is pregnant with twin girls. Question about Ambien and Addiction?
My grandmother is taking the sleeping aide called Ambien. She believes she is addicted. However she cannot sleep without it because of the death of her daughter. Now my question is do you think that there is a problem with an addiction that does not hurt anyone. Do you think that she should get off of it or do you think she should stay on it. She goes to sleep at 5:00 A.M. and wakes up at 8:00 A.M. without it.
