Panic Attacks – What Do I Do To Stop Them?

  • Posted on July 2, 2009 at 2:20 pm

Some people go years upon years of experiencing Panic Attacks in their every day life including when they are sleeping.

From the research I’ve done on the subject, because of my own panic attacks, I’ve found that when you are put in a situation where you are not comfortable and your “fight or flight” hormones kick in, your mind remembers. Your memories are stored in your brain like a huge file cabinet. Every time something happens to you that seems remotely like a past situation, your body responds the same way.

After three long years of having what would seem to other people a string of bad experiences, I finally had to figure out what was happening and why up until 2003, I had what I thought was a great life…
Marriage was wonderful.
Job was great (started my own business in 2002).
My children were thriving and excelling at everything they tried (I worked at home and was able to be with them when they weren’t at school).
My bills were paid and my credit was wonderful.

Then things changed…2003 started a three year streak of bad luck. One day my husband told me that his ex wife had contacted him (after not hearing from her for over 10 years). He was excited…I was sick. I had had a terrible divorce because of other women being involved. That started my panic attacks. Once the attacks started, every time I heard the ex’s name, I would start sweating and get nauseous. My heart would start beating extremely hard and I would have to lay down to stop the attack. We argued constantly and our married life fell apart.

To shorten up a long story, eventually my husband left me to go back to his ex wife. I continued to have panic attacks every time I was in a situation I thought I couldn’t handle. The next year was a very hard year for me. I got another divorce, I had two family members pass away, I met another man from a new town and moved my family to be with the new beau, and I quit my business that was failing. My children were acting up all the time and I really felt like I had lost all grip on my life and what I was doing with my life. I continued to have panic attacks due to the new relationship. I would do everything I could to sabotage it. I would start fights and threaten to leave. Panic attacks were so bad I felt like committing suicide to end them, all because I was scared to be in another relationship where I felt I had to watch out for past girlfriends and ex wives.

After a lot of soul searching, meditating, and several herbal therapies, I had slowed the frequency of having panic attacks that were stemming from past experiences. It wasn’t until I heard about Joe Barry that I finally cured the panic attacks.

I have started a new life with a new husband and my children are happy and healthy again. My life is back on track for growth and new experiences without the constant worry of the dreaded panic disorder.

The Central Principle of the Law of Attraction

  • Posted on July 2, 2009 at 7:15 am

Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the last 10 years, it is likely that you are familiar with a quirky little television program known as The Oprah Show.

If you watch the program often, you may have seen an episode in which they discussed the Law of Attraction Because the theory is so cutting-edge, the principle of the Law of Attraction can seem somewhat difficult to grasp if you don’t know the whole story.

The concept at the heart of the Law of Attraction is that we can control what life gives us by controlling our thoughts. The ideas cover everything from getting the job you want to getting the mate you want. People in both the scientific and spiritual communities accept the Law of Attraction as fact.

If you talk to a Quantum Mechanics scientist, you can discover the true depth of what the Law of Attraction is getting at. Quantum Physics demonstrates that the whole world is made up of energy, and our minds — which are also energy — can manipulate the energy of objects and thoughts outside ourselves.

But as you know, everything good has a reverse, and this includes the Law of Attraction. If you want something, but think about being afraid of NOT getting it, then there is a good chance that what you want to avoid will actually happen. Experiencing what we want to avoid may not seem like a good thing, and it isn’t, but it does help prove the principle of the Law of Attraction. When the relationship ends, it may seem to that person that the Law of Attraction failed them. Their desire to stop the marriage from ending didn’t come true. But in fact, the Law of Attraction worked perfectly. It doesn’t necessarily bring us what we WANT. It brings us what we CONCENTRATE ON. The married spouse concentrated on not wanting to lose their partner, and thus they attracted losing their partner.

There is no difference between what you concentrate on wanting and what you concentrate on not wanting. Concentration is concentration. So the Law of Attraction brings you the thing you focused your thoughts on.

To create the life you want using the Law of Attraction, you must banish all fear and concentrate only on moving toward exactly what you want. If you do, then what you want will move toward you, as well.

If You Think You Know What Love Is, Think Again!

  • Posted on July 1, 2009 at 10:12 pm

Love and the heart are some of my favorite subjects.  I love to see love expressed at any opportunity and by anyone who happens to be expressing it.  I think we all are richer by the love that is released into the world by each and every one of us.

Love is on my mind lately, as well as in my heart, because of a project I have been working on for sometime.  It involves putting people together, helping people find someone to like or love.  In doing so, various people wander into my gallery and chat about their lives and in many cases the love that is missing in their lives.  These are wonderful people who just might be out of the loop of people and the opportunity of finding a partner.  It might be after a previous partner has moved on in some way.  I try to cheer them up and inspire them to keep a look out, for surely there is someone who equals their desire for a friend or mate.

That’s just one kind of love — people to people.  And then yesterday Mia wandered in.  Mia is a golden doodle of such genuine sweetness no one could miss it.  She is calm and patient and she instinctively knows who loves her.  I love her.  She comes right over to me and leans up against my leg, in a manner that is never aggressive or demanding, waiting for me to rub her neck and tell how wonderful she is.  And I do because she is.  Her owner, Cathy, has taken Mia to be trained for hospital work.  She will be such a help to those who are shut-in and have little opportunity to give and receive love.

Then today a friend sent me an e-mail about an extraordinary Washington state man named Jeff who, through his love and efforts, salvaged an injured baby eagle 10 years ago.  He called her Freedom and spent weeks hand-feeding her and nursing this little bird back to life.  Because of her injuries he knew she could never fly, so he glove trained her and took her to do educational programs at schools.

Then Jeff was diagnosed with non-hodgkins lymphoma and under went 8 rounds of chemo.  During that time he took Freedom out for walks.  She also showed up in his dreams, seeming to help him fight the cancer.  On the day he was given a clean bill of health he took Freedom out for another walk.  She somehow knew of his triumph.  He said she looked at him and wrapped both her wings around him to where he could feel her wings on his back.  Then she touched his nose with her beak and stared into his eyes.  That was a magic moment for him.

There were many other extraordinary healings involving this bird.  It all came from the love this man had for this bird and this bird’s tremendous appreciation in return.  It is a story that one might not believe, but I saw the picture that proved it — Jeff with his Freedom snuggled up against his chest.

Love in any form is love.  The more the better for the heart and everyone.
