So I think my husband might have a problem with prescription painkillers and alcohol.
Last week while I was working at Costco he went to go pick up our daughter at the daycare center. Evidently, he drove there completely wasted. Even our daughter’s daycare center felt uncomfortable handing our daughter over to him, but I guess he made a scene and they caved.
Anyway, I came home from work four hours later only to discover my daughter laying unconscious in the front seat of the car. He didn’t even strap her into her car seat! I immediately called the paramedics and my daughter was treated for heat exposure and severe dehydration.
I’ve put up with a lot over the years, but leaving our helpless daughter to bake in the car for four hours is borderline unforgivable. Unfortunately, divorce isn’t an option. How can I force my husband to quit drinking?
