How can my fiance adopt my daughtr in missouri??

My daughter is 16 months old. her biological father and i dated for awhile and i ended up pregnant. he did sign the birth certificate. we broke up when i was 4 months pregnant. i spoke to him only a couple times, then he went to jail for 120 days for violations of probation and having 3 DWI’s. He has saw her 2 times, once when she was about a week old and again at about 3 weeks. I have received no money from him. a CS order was placed 3 months ago, because she has medicaid and they had to go after him for it. he has not payed any of it, and switched jobs twice already because of the income withholding papers. i do not know where he is living or working. he has had no contact . i met my fiance when she was 3 months old, we are now engaged and wil be getting married in september. thats her daddy! he has always wanted to adopt her, how do we go about him adopting her?? how long do we have to be married? does he have to voluntarily sign over rights? any help would be greatly appreciated!

My girlfriend Stacy has a 6 year old daughter form a previous relationship. The father died of a car crash while he was driving drunk not to long after she was born. I have become a father figure to her and she calls me dad. Stacy and i have been together for 3 years and we live together along with her daughter. We are in love. She wants me to adopt her daughter telling me it would be perfect since i am already to and love her like she was my own. However I’m not sure i wanna get married but Stacy told me it wasn’t the right time. Should i adopt her?

My exhusband was very abusive, was and still is a drug addict. I have lived with my boyfriend and his three boys for over two years now. My daughter is happy secure and my boyfriend treats her and loves her as if she were his own. The court in missouri is very antirights termination but for my daughters sake and safety i need to know how my boyfriend can adopt her if my ex just has visitation rights?

my ex husband wants to sign off paternity rights to our daughter so my husband can adopt her, how do we do it?

We live in Michigan… I was hoping we could do this without an attorney since all parties are willing to do this…. My husband is the only father my daughter has known(she’s only 5) and her bio -dad had been in prison and/or jail for the last 4 years… He finally realizes he isn’t a “father” for her and wants my husband to be her real dad now.we’ve went to court several times proving my ex is not a fit parent.(domestic violence against my son, broke a glass on his head, drugs, strong armed robbery, assaulting police offer, malicious destruction of property, stalking, the list goes on… Now he is finally taking the childs own well being into consideration….. I want to get this paperwork going asap, before my ex goes on another crack binge and changes his mind.. any advice?? thanks

What process do I need to go through so my husband can adopt my daughter?

The biological father has never been around by choice, the idea of him being around my child scares me because he is a jailbird drug addict who becomes violent when angry. He’s been in and out of jail for many things including hitting an ex girlfriend and drugs. I would prefer that he never have anything to do with my child, and my husband and I are looking into him being able to adopt my daughter. I’m looking for any and all information that may be available and helpful to me.
