The baby is not his. A little background. He has supervised visits due to his alcoholism and abuse/neglect issues he had with our girls when they were in his care. I offer to supervise his visits, as well as his mom or sisters, but my youngest hates hanging out with his new g/f and her son when they are with her dad. The g/f works at walmart and anytime alice sees her there she is very happy and even seeks her out. The g/f hates me, for whatever reason and the atmosphere is tense to say the least when we are all together. Which is probably why alice dislikes it so much.

I don;t want to subject my child to spending time with people she doesn;t want to. When her dad is on his own and comes to visit or when we go to his place to visit and he is alone my daughter is fine and very happy to see her dad, as long as i am there with her. How can I make him understand that his visitation is for him alone, when i am the one supervising.
he has a list of expectations he needs to complete before he can get unsupervised time with his girls, after almost a year and a half he has yet to complete anything on it, and just recently has started calling more often. it used to be once or twice a month for a few minutes.

the g/f does dislike me, but I am very respectful to her when I am in a situation that involves both of us, for the sake of my kids, and because I feel nothing really but pity for her. She tends to ignore or make snide comments to me in front of my children, which I find unacceptable.

I just found out my boyfriend is in jail for stealing and I found a needle with drugs in his truck. We have a 4 mth old baby and I have a 3 1/2 yr old daughter. I cant make it financial alone.

I was around 20 weeks pregnant when I started suboxone maintenance to help with my addiction to oxycontin. I had no issues during pregnancy, my baby was perfectly healthy.
However, I delivered a preterm baby girl at 35 weeks and 3 days. I’m not sure if the suboxone had anything to do with the preterm labor.
Around 2 days after my 4 lb 12 oz daughter’s birth, she started to have withdrawal symptoms. The physicians caring for her refer to it as NAS, or Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome.
There is a scoring sheet for her symptoms, and depending on her scores, (the lower the better, like golf) they will treat her with methadone.
Because her scores were so high, they began treatment on methadone. Her heart rate dropped severely, so they stopped the methadone, and started her on phenobarbital, which is an anti-seizure medicine, to help with her symptoms.
For around 5-6 days, the phenobarbital was working splendidly, and we were told our daughter would finally be coming home from the NICU in 2 or 3 days.
I wanted to breast feed, so after asking several physicians and pharmacists, I attempted to do so. Around a half an hour after my breast milk was introduced, her NAS scores spiked and they put her back on methadone. In fact, an even higher dose than before.
I was wondering if anyone else has had similar experience? Also, I am open for questions if you may be in this situation, or one like it.
Any information will help. Thank you…

My moms friends daughter is 3 months pregnant,she is 31 and has just confessed to her boyfriend that she has been doing cocaine.Can anybody tell me what effects will this have on her baby?I do not understand why these things happen when they have been trying to get pregnant for 8 months!! I would like to get some info for them,her parents have already taken her to a counsler but being a mom myself if worrys me what can happen to her baby.
No this is not for gossip,it is my moms friends daughter,no i do not know her well enough to take her to my doctors,my mom called me and told me to look up on the internet and i ended up here,this is serious,thank you for the responses so far.
As for the baby being taken away,we live in canada and our stupid government seems to let hookers keep there babies if they are addicted,it is just stupid!This girl is a decent women for the most part,this came as quite a shock.

I need to talk to my BF who doesnt like to “talk about things” about his use of percocet. Im worried for the relationship because about 2-3 weeks ago I REALIZED he was using this percocet for his “pains” it started with tooth aches, now its body pains…

I feel like sometimes when i look at him theres nothing there. Then other times hes cuddling my daughter with all this love and affection, then at night hes Moody with me and irritable.

I cant help but blame the drugs because I just recently seen him taking them. (maybe 2 a day? if im wrong i dont know)

but he has become this “it is what it is ” and I dont care attitude with me. Really nice to my daughter but distant from me.
I dont know if hes addicted but we both work 5am-4pm
by the time were home, (hes a carpenter) (Im a receptionist) hes exhausted and apparent in pain . Hasnt seen a dr, buys them off the street, someone he “knows”.

I hear horros stories about this drug and Im really nervous how to confront him about this. Lately hes been blowing off anything I say that has emotion in it, he even the other day said “i had it with your drama ridden puertorican shit” .. because he wanted a BJ and I didnt want to because I wanted to make love instead.. so he said well i dont want to do that and you dont want to do this for me, so shut the hell up. and when i tried to talk about it , talk it over, he told me to either go in another room or leave him alone. I NEVER saw him like that.

Im worried hes choosing to feel this euphoric feeling over dealing with reality, and I need advice, your experiences or what. Im scared to tell him its US or the drugs bc I feel hell deny that what I “feel” is accurate. Since he thinks Im drama ridden… also I havent told him mom yes. were 23 and 24. all the men in his fam are carpenters so his mom knows theyre all in pain, when i told her hes in alot of pain lately i didnt mention the type of painkiller hes taking but she sympathised with him when i said pain meds… i donno what to do.
My love for him is slipping away because i feel like hes not loving him self or respecting him self and I dont know how to handle this?

In my question about my sister’s baby being stillborn and that she is depressed. I had also put in that i suffered the loss of a child too by a drunk driver.
An answerer said that “it” loved drunk drivers.

My daughter was 3 months old when we were driving to a doctor’s appointment and this no good piece of scum hit us head on and we all were hurt (myself,husband,son) But my darling daughter was the one that did not make it out of the crash alive.

To that person that made fun have you seen a bleeding, lifeless child? A child of your own? I will not go into details in how my lil angel looked but the casket could not be opened.
