Cause of & treatment for enlarged red blood cells? Fatigue?

  • Posted on November 2, 2010 at 4:32 pm

I’m seeing a doc very soon and want to be armed with all of what I should ask to treat my enlarged red blood cells, which was brought up by my doc’s substitute on my last visit. I would like to finally get to the bottom of why I am often so very tired that I feel as if I can hardly lift my arms, etc – going on 3 yrs. I do not have a family med history because I was adopted, except that a daughter has Juvenile Diabetes and Addison’s disease. I did have Rheumatic Fever. That’s all I know. I’m already taking B12 shots every 2 weeks, I’m vegetarian, and I don’t drink at all. However I have a lot of specific joint pain and so have been taking a lot of Tylenol (Acetaminophen) for decades. I’ve read that enlarged blood cells are associated with alcoholism, and wonder if I could be in the same class – liver damage due to the Acetaminophen = the large red blood cells? What else could it possibly be? Thanks!
Fab: that link is to buy online blood pressure meds – my bp is perfect
Ann: confused at ad for coffee ? i don’t drink it anymore

Was I wrong to react this way to them drawing my daughter’s blood?

  • Posted on October 2, 2010 at 7:21 am

My daughter (15 months) who is usually healthy as a horse mysteriously developed a fever of 103.6 all of a sudden and vomited so I went to the emeregency room. Well it didn’t take the doctor long at all to diagnose an ear infection in both ears. So he ordered some bloodwork.

Well the nurse came in to draw her blood with another nurse to help me hold her down. Of course at this point she was sick of having thermometers up her butt and swabs down her throat so she was screaming and squirming. The nurse spent forever trying to find a vein and clearly didn’t have a good one because she missed the vein and kept *digging* in her arm with the needle for several minutes. Now I justh ad my blood drawn the other day and the lab person missed at first and dug for about 15 seconds and it really hurt! I was just about to tell this nurse to stop digigng in her arm when she finally pulled the needle out. She decided to try the back of her hand and once again was unsuccessful and started digging again with the needle under her skin so finally I said “Stop it, that’s enough. You wouldn’t be digging like that with an adult because they’d ask you to stop.” Well the lady BLOWS UP at me and yells “I’M NOT DIGGING! SHE’S MOVING!” and I was like “Look, I understand it is very difficult to get a vein in a screamy squirmy baby but there is no excuse to torture her like that when you can’t get a vein.” Well she had an attitdue and was like “Fine, I’ll get the doctor in here and you can explain to him why you don’t want her to have bloodwork done. But don’t say I was digging because *I* don’t dig on children!” Then she left in a huff and I heard her out in the hall ranting to the doctor “Oh, I wasn’t even *touching* the needle and she said I was digging!” Well the doctor came in to explain how important the bloodwork was and I said “Listen, I want the bloodwork done but that lady had the needle in for several minutes digging under her skin. There’s no reason for that.” My little girl was already developing little bruises where the needles had been.

So anyway, they sent someone from the IV team and she was much gentler. She tried her other arm and after about 30 seconds of no vein took it out. THen she tried her foot and got a little bit of blood but again pulled the needle out after a reasonably short amount of time. THe little blood she got turned out to be enough to do the most important tests. Now my baby looks like a heroin addict but at least we know her bloodwork was alright.

While we were still there I heard that first nurse ranting to her coworkers about “the mom of the baby in room 18.” I wish I’d gotten her name to report her.

My question is: Do you think I was being unreasonable? I understand the importance of shots and bloodwork and i have always held her down and tried to comfort her but not interefere with shots and finger pricks. But this is the first time someone treated her with a complete disregard for her pain. Has anything like this happened to you?
Insomniacsdream517 – Thanks for your answer but I never yelled at her. I calmly told her to stop, and she immediately yelled at me.
Uhm Albert E, you just completely changed my story. Wtf?

There is blood in my daughter’s nose!?

  • Posted on September 1, 2010 at 3:26 am

My 4 year old has a cold, her nose has been running, her eyes have been watering. Yesterday she fell asleep around 2:00 and rested the whole day.

Between resting she ate oatmeal and drank juice.

I used a vaporizer and vicks rub to treat her.

This morning when she woke up there was a little blood in her nose, this has never happened. The blood is gone, it was only a little bit.

What should I do? I looked nose bleeds up and it says it can be caused by colds and dryness. She has a cold and it is super dry and hot in the house.

Any suggestions?

Would You Like To Hear About A High Blood Pressure Remedy?

  • Posted on January 25, 2010 at 7:21 am

This article emphasizes the preventative steps that you can take to avoid the onset of high blood pressure.

A high blood pressure remedy is something that is used to help prevent high blood pressure from occurring in the first place or else to help control blood pressure levels.

The high blood pressure remedy most doctors recommend is one that anyone can put into play so long as they have patience, perseverance and a healthy dose of self-control. This means making lifestyle changes that can improve the functioning of your circulatory system and get you into better shape physically

Often lifestyle changes also have a positive impact on psychological health as well because healthy people feel better and are more able to deal with the ups and downs of life.

The first high blood pressure remedy is the foods you eat. Always try to follow as closely as possible a heart healthy diet that can greatly lower your potential for developing any kind of circulatory problem

Some suggestions for this high blood pressure remedy include limiting the amount of trans fat and hydrogenated oils you consume daily in items such as fried foods, margarines and foods purchased from fast food restaurants as well as limiting the amount of refined sugar you eat in foods such as cookies, cakes, doughnuts, candy, et cetera

Other suggestions include using both garlic as well as olive oil (extra virgin is the best) when you cook to lower your cholesterol levels and adding omega-3 fatty acids to your daily diet as much as possible. The very best sources of omega-3 are fish oil or cold water fish such as salmon, tuna and mackerel.

Another high blood pressure remedy is exercise. Make it a goal of yours to get exercise on a regular basis. Get off the couch, put your sneakers on and get out there and get as much physical activity as possible. It is recommended that you at least three to four times during the week (and more if you can) for an average of 30 minutes at a time. Try to do stretching exercises before and cool down exercises after your run or work out.

If you are new to exercise, please do not overdo it. Start off slowly and work up to more as time goes by. Keep in mind that you do not have to go to the gym all of the time to get the required exercise your body needs to keep blood pressure at a normal level. Go for walks around your neighborhood, walk the dog in the park, go for a run around the block, play a game of tennis, throw a ball around the yard with your son or daughter once a week, and so one. Try to vary the activities you do as much as possible so you do not get bored and abandon them. Also remember that drinking plenty of water when you are exercising and stopping for breaks is imperative.

Cure Itp and Low Blood Platelets With Homeopathy, Acupuncture and Quantum Physics?

  • Posted on January 7, 2010 at 5:20 am

This incredible technology, called Bio-tracker, takes most of the guesswork out of diagnosing a condition and then what homeopathic remedy to use to cure auto immune disorders such as ITP. Yes, it is possible to banish ITP as well as other auto immune disorders by utilizing this amazing technology combined with the right lifestyle choices.

To understand how this is possible, one must consider science and how the combination of ancient modalities of acupuncture/acupressure, homeopathy and modern quantum physics can have such a profound effect on healing.

Here is a simple way to understand how this works:

The Bio-tracker technology uses modern computer software science with quantum physics, ancient Chinese acupuncture/acupressure, and homeopathy by testing the electromagnetic frequencies of our DNA taken from a sample of your saliva. Then a detailed range of virtual tests are performed and arrive at specific homeopathic remedies tailor made just for you and your condition. It is not exactly a “cure” per se, but what the remedy does is restore the balance of the body thereby eliminating the guesswork of finding out what’s wrong and then helps your body get back in balance to create the state of health and ward off serious chronic disease.

Quantum Physics – Einstein established that our bodies are made up of energy vibrations resonating at the sub atomic level. This was later proven scientifically. Scientists confirmed that all of our cells are kept in balance by certain electromagnetic frequencies. When these specific frequencies are changed either positively or negatively, and not returned to a balanced state, the cell would die within about 72 hours. Many doctors and naturopaths agree that when the body is “stasis”, that is when disease sets in. All disease starts with dis-ease of the body’s electromagnetic balance, whether it is from wrong living habits, exposure to toxic chemicals, drugs, viruses, negative thoughts and emotions, etc.

Acupuncture -The Chinese created and developed this ancient technique of healing and utilized it to improve overall health, act as a pain reliever, and cure disease. Long before modern science existed, the Chinese believed that all dis-ease was caused by an imbalance of yin and yang (positive and negative forces), and were convinced that these imbalances disrupted the life force, and it was their objective, as it is with modern day practice of acupuncture and acupressure, to bring the positive and negative back into a state of balance by stimulating certain points on the body. Now modern scientists, through electromagnetic conductivity research, have actually confirmed that dis-ease states produce certain characteristics of electrical disruptions along particular meridians and have also verified that the electrical resistance in the skin located over these ancient points are different than the resistance of other skin area by a 10-1 ratio. Scientists at Harvard school of medicine, have proven that there is a direct link between physical health and the electrical energy fields of the body. Digging deeper into this theory, it was found that cells, at the DNA cellular level, held a state of homeostasis (balance) at certain electromagnetic frequencies, and that when these frequencies were changed and not returned back to their state of balance the cells would die off eventually.

Homeopathy – Safe and effective, this natural energy medicine has been in use for about 200 years and it’s popularity is increasing daily. The world’s second most widely used medicine system, is based on “Like cures Like”, or the “Law of Similarity”. Homeopathy uses a miniscule dosage of a certain substance that would under normal circumstances, be antagonistic to the body, but instead, acts as a healing remedy. This is very similar to vaccination programs and the principals of conventional allergy treatments, whereas the allergic substance or the virus is administered in a micro doses to boost the immune system against that particular issue.

In using homeopathy effectively, one of the main obstacles that naturopathic doctors have encountered is coming up with the most effective remedy for the particular condition, and of the volume of remedies available to choose the correct prescription from.

Fortunately for the medical community, there are now new technologies available that take all the guesswork out prescribing the correct remedy. One of these technologies that I have had first hand experience with is called the Bio-tracker. I firmly believe that the use of this tool is one of the main reasons why I was able to cure my daughter Vivianna’s ITP disorder naturally.

This computerized technology enables a remedy to be prescribed tailored just to the patient’s specific electrical DNA blueprint. Its’ implications for healing are huge! With this novel technology, all guesswork is eliminated. I firmly believe that eventually most naturopathic doctors, veterinarians, and a multitude of mainstream medical practitioners will use this cutting edge technology. Why wouldn’t they?
