Would you let your 15 year old daughter to go to a Bring Me the Horizon concert with a bunch of friends?

My dad said that I could go, but I HAVE to go with him….apparently I’m not “old enough” to make wise choices and to not do anything bad. (Trust me, I am NOT like that.) He’s really over protective, and quite frankly, I think that I can handle being at a concert with 8 or 9 friends! he doesn’t let me do anything! I’m not going to go into any mosh pits (I’m barely 5’2, and I’m 95 pounds; i’m not stupid)

He’s afraid of me getting “exposed” to bad things (which I have anyway, my stepmom smokes weed in the house, and I don’t live a sheltered life.) as if I haven’t already. (The city we live in has the most meth labs in size comparison to anywhere in the USA.) HAHA.

BMTH is a really heavy screamo band, btw, but there will be other “pansy” bands there. (It’s the taste of chaos) and it’s not like it’s gonna be full of 30 year old men, more like 13 year old “scene” kids. lololol
Trust me on this, my dad will NOT be fun to be around. He will make me stay away from the band, and leave right after it’s over. I won’t even get to get a picture with Oli Sykes!

He’ll just mope and complain and b!!tch about how much my music tastes ”suck”.
Yeah he’s like 47. lololol.

What are some of your favorite food and drinks to bring on a long road trip?

My husband and I will be driving a 16 foot truck to help my daughter and her husband move to their new home. It is a 12 hour drive, and maybe a bit longer because the truck may slow us down a bit. I’m looking for ideas for snacks and meals to carry with us. We’ll have a cooler and plenty of room. My daughter and her fiance will be driving a Ford Ranger, my husband and I will be driving the big ole truck.

Grandparents, would you bring your infant grandchildren home to raise if you were in your fifties?

Due to my daughter’s drug addiction to crack cocaine, I was already raising 3 of her children, one barely a year old, when she had a set of twins. The state became involved due to the babies being born positive to drugs. After seeing the sweet tiny little beings in their incumbator, so tiny barely alive and helpless abandonded by their mother my heart almost broke and I had to bring them home when they gained weight and was well enough to leave the hospital. This year i will be 62, and the children are thriving, happy and have caught up and even surpassed their peers in regular kindergarten. I was really afraid I was too old to adopt and raise my babies, but I am glad I did now. My family thought I was nuts, but I have discovered there are lots of grandparents and even great grandparents raising small children now, but my question is in
case anyone is thinking about this, would you do it?
My babies had many obstacles to over come, even operations, but I worked as a pediatric nurse for over 9 years and knew what type of therapy they required,
but sometimes I wonder what I would have done if I did not have this type of background, and what a grandparent without it would do, besides that I have a great faith in God, or we would not have come so far.
Thank everyone for their kind answers, and I still worry that although my daughter will reach 43 this year, she is still able to become pregnant and still doing drugs. She is now also mentally impaired, perhaps has been for some time. so now I have a new question what can be done about that?
