i am being charged with conspiracy to traffic methampetamine. this is my first offense. will i go to jail?

for 2 months i really messed up and got into meth. i bought 7 boxes of sudafed that were used to make meth and now am being charged. i have a clean adult record, a full time job and a daughter. i dont want to go to jail but i should prepare my self if i am. any advice?

Can I be charged with intoxication in a court of law if no blood/urine, was taken or field sobriety test given?

I have a 2 year old boy and a 3 year old girl. I was asleep and police woke me in the middle of the night saying that my daughter had unlocked my door and had gotten out. Neighbors found her and called police. They didn’t arrest me, but a warrant was issued in which I turned myself in immediately. They are charging me with child abuse because they say I was intoxicated when she got out of the house and that I was negligent. They gave no tests at all and even the investigator told me she didn’t think I was drunk, but I had beer cans next to my computer and on my kitchen counter. I had no idea she could get by the two locks I had on the door so i installed a lock high up on the door close to the jamb to where she can’t reach at all. Is there even a case here?
They did not ask me to take any tests at all and I realize the ramifications of what could have happened to my children. I have childproof locks on all my doors, but it doiesn’t help that my daughter is very smart.
I don’t go out and party. I can make a 12 pack of beer last a month. I had friends over the night before so that’s where the beer cans came from. It was roughly 13 cans.

Can a passenger sitting in their driveway be charged with dui if they had some one drive them home and left?

My daughter and her friend picked me up from a bar because I was drunk. When we arrived home my daughter went in the house and her friend left with another person to pick up my other daughter. Approximately, 30-40 seconds later an officer approaches me while I was scratching a lottery ticket in the passenger seat before going in the house. The officer then arrests me for dwi even though I told her I wasn’t driving the vehicle. Can I be charged with dui if wasn’t even driving and the cop shows up several seconds later looking for the car?
I do not if the keys were left in the ignition because I wasn’t paying attention and my timing may be off because again I was drunk but I do know it took long enough for him to leave and for my daughter to get in the house to head for the bathroom before the cop showed up. The cop also stated to the magistrate that she was cut off by a car and was not close enough too me as the reason for the delay.

Could I get charged with Kidnapping and have to come back?

We have a verbal agreement that my 5 yr old and I were moving back to LA to his family and my older daughter next week and he was going to a bible based rehab for 1 year then on Friday he said he is filing for custody…. We are in process of selling the house to payoff debit from his Alcoholism and lack of work stability. I have 4 job offers in CA and my daughter will have a family tree. So I stay or should I go??

Illegal charged with driving drunk without license do U think he should have $ 5000 bail with 0.21 percent?

BREWSTER- Another illegal immigrant has been arrested after being found driving drunk and without a license, police said today.
Jose Morales, 32, of Brewster was pulled over by police on 460 N. Main St. at 11:47 p.m. Saturday after he was seen driving with his headlights off.
Police discovered Morales was intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of 0.21 percent..”That is almost three times the limit,” Brewster Police Officer John Delgardo said. The threshold for driving while intoxicated is 0.08 percent.Incidents like these are not uncommon in Brewster. Some, however, have more tragic results.

Morales, originally from Guatemala , was arrested, taken to Putnam County Jail and issued four tickets for: driving while intoxicated and aggravated driving while intoxicated, misdemeanors; operating a vehicle without a license and driving without headlights, infractions.

He is being held on a $5,000 bond.

Morales is due in Brewster Village Court on Sept. 15.

Morales’ arrest was the fourth of an illegal immigrant on drunken driving charges in Brewster since a June 8 fatal accident involving a driver police described as a drunken illegal immigrant.

On June 8, Lori Donohue, 37, and her daughter Kayla, 8, were walking out of the child’s dance class in Brewster when they were struck and killed by a pickup truck driven by Zacaria Conses-Garcia, who police said was an intoxicated illegal immigrant.

Conses-Garcia was indicted in the crash on two counts of aggravated vehicular homicide. Police said the vehicle Conses-Garcia was driving was registered to a northern Westchester horse trainer.

The accident drew calls from the community for more crackdowns on illegal immigrants.

SOUTHEAST – A Connecticut man in the country illegally from Mexico is being held at the Putnam County jail on a federal immigration detainer warrant after a Putnam deputy charged him this week with driving while intoxicated, police said today.Putnam Deputy Kevin McManus was on patrol Tuesday around 3:20 a.m. when he stopped Esteban De Jesus Munoz-Adame, 27, of 6 Prindle Lane in Danbury, Conn., for a traffic violation, police said. McManus determined he was under the influence and charged him with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, police said.

Munoz-Adame is at least the third illegal alien charged with driving while intoxicated in the Brewster area since June 8, when Zacaria Conses-Garcia, a 35-year-old Guatemalan who authorities say was in the country illegally, drove drunk through Brewster and struck and killed a 37-year-old mother and her 8-year-old daughter as they were leaving the girl’s dance class.

Munoz-Adame was arraigned before Town Justice Richard Vercollone, who sent him to the Putnam County jail in Carmel in lieu of $500 bail.

Once Munoz-Adame arrived at the jail, authorities determined he was in the country illegally from Mexico and contacted federal Immigration and Custom Enforcement, which placed a detainer warrant on him, police said.

Why are so many drinking and driving ? If one illegal is caught the news is spread though the community so at this point isn’t illegal immigration playing in a part in how laws are understood ? Insn’t it true in Mexico bribes for DUI has you own your way very quickly ?

Why Your Teenage Kid is Charged More For Car Insurance

Teenagers, however, are not really the favorites of insurance companies. In fact, teenagers are charged higher premiums than older drivers. It is a common notion that teenagers are at the stage of their lives when they have this extreme taste for adventure. It is the time of their lives when they are off to parties every weekend, often getting drunk, and driving drunk. Drunk driving often results to accidents and this is what insurance companies do not want to happen. They would have to shell out higher amounts every time a teenager client gets into an accident.

Teenager days are also the days of carelessness. These are the days when your teenage kid would agree to get into a drag race, betting an amount on it. Drag racing is very different from a professional car race. Your teenage kid would most likely have a car that is not for racing. Your kid would most likely not be wearing a racing suit and helmet. Your kid would most likely be racing vulnerable and unprotected. Your insurance company would be as annoyed as you will be if your kid gets into a car mishap with this kind of adventurism. While you will be mad about your kid’s carelessness, your insurance company would be paying for any damage or injury that your kid and his or her car sustained.

Now that you know why teenagers are charged higher than adults, consider how you can save on expenses. Before you even buy your kid a car, enroll him or her in a driving course. People who have recently taken defensive driving course before buying their insurance are given discounts. Also, be sure to remind your kid to keep his or her driving record clean because a driving record that is clean for more than three years are often allowed to take a cut. While you’re at it, encourage your kid to make good grades because good grades tell the insurance company how responsible your kid is and will most likely give you a discount.

It also helps not to buy your kid a catchy car or a car that could catch the attention of all passersby including thieves and vandals. Although they would prefer that they own a latest model that is expensive, you have to be firm on declining. Insurance companies charge higher for expensive cars because of the cost of replacing them if they get stolen and the cost of having them repainted when vandals spray their artwork on it. But be sure that your kid’s car has safety gears like air balloon and automatic brakes because this can also earn a discount from insurance companies.

2 events caused 3 court appearances. My daughter was charged DWI when pulled over for tail light not working.?

Whats the worse can happen? This happened on Md U. Campus.

A week later she’s in Pennsylvania college campus and is ticketed for disorderly conduct by just being on campus after curfew. a note was made on the ticket that marajuana was on her (dime bag). 3 cases tried next month. Any Suggestions. She has no police record. 1st case is in Pa. 2nd and 3rd are in Md. She’s a senior in college. A lawyer is representing her in Md. Were looking in Pa at this time. Has anyone had a similar situation?If so, what happenned?

A lot of these have to with children… Hopefully these hypocrites will be exposed for who they really are. If you’re a Republican, why can’t you support equality and still be a conservative/republican? what does one have to do with the other?
