newborn baby has thrush on her bum – how long does it take to clear? tips to make nappy change less painful?

  • Posted on February 12, 2011 at 5:24 am

My 7 day old daughter has thrush on her bum. Its very raw and very sore for her. She screams at every nappy change, especially if she does wees while her nappy is off. I think it must sting like crazy. I use huggies nappies and i am just using warm water and a very soft cloth on her bottom, i also am not wiping, i just sort of dab it. I dry her bum afterwards and then i apply the cream my midwife prescribed for her. We started using the cream yesterday and she said to use it at every nappy change for 3 or 4 days, however its the end of day 2 (well we started using it yesterday afternoon) and i havnt noticed any change, it definately hasnt got any better yet. I give her as much time as i can without a nappy on but she is usually screaming and crying that its hard to settle her without her nappy on. I have stopped drinking orange juice and eating acidic foods to see if that helps. Also she is fully breastfed. So if anyone has any help that would be great
Oh.. its a diaper. We call them nappies. Im from one of those ‘weird’ countries that put a ‘u’ in everything too. Labour, honour, colour etc.

I need to know of something natural that helps clear up mucas….?

  • Posted on January 18, 2011 at 11:23 am

my daughter is having a hard time breathing right now. She has asthma and takes meds for those but right now she’s full of the runny stuff. I know to make her drink loads of water and to stay away from dairy which she already does. But I am looking for something natural like from the health food store that I could give her to help dry it up. I don’t want something that will make it come up because that makes it much worse for her she can’t even take Mucinex because it will make her gag and breath really badly.

my daughter is an addict with mental issues who needs help, where do I turn when she is clear across counrty.?

she is only twenty years old…seems to be in and out of reality most days and she has no home or job. She hops from place to place and goes to the hospital all the time. she knows deep down she is not right and gets scared…but does not choose to leave the drugs alone. The hospital just turns her away and tell her she is fine. Once she was commited for less than 48 hours and I begged them to keep her but they said she was just brought in high on crystal meth and seemed quiet fine after she came off of it. They just gave her the speech of where to seek additional help and released her. Is there a way to get her committed to a rehab/mental health place through the state..we are of limited income and I truly believe at this point she does not know how to help herself and needs an intervention…I am at a loss.. I took leave from work, just last month and went to bring her home the trip was unsucessful. She always asks me am I okay…I tell her no and she says pray for me. HELP!

Can anyone clear this up for me?

I’m a little confused about the candidates…let me see if I have this straight…

·If you grow up in Hawaii, raised by your grandparents, then you’re “exotic, different.”

·If you grow up in Alaska eating moose burgers, you’re a quintessential American story.

·If your name is Barack, you’re a radical, unpatriotic Muslim.

·If you name your kids Willow, Trig and Track, you’re a maverick.

·Graduate from Harvard Law School and you are unstable.

·Attend 5 different small colleges before finally graduating with a communications-journalism degree from the prestigious U of Idaho, and you’re well grounded.

·If you spend 3 years as a community organizer, become the first black president of the Harvard Law Review, create a voter registration drive that registers 150,000 new voters, spend 12 years as a Constitutional Law professor, spend 8 years as a state Senator representing a district with over 750,000 people, become chairman of the state Senate’s Health and Human Services committee, spend 4 years in the United States Senate representing a state of 13 million people while sponsoring 131 bills and serving on the Foreign Affairs, Environment and Public Works and Veteran’s Affairs committees, you don’t have any real leadership experience.

·If your total resume is: local weather girl, beauty pageant winner, 4 years on the city council, 6 years as the mayor of a town with less than 7,000 people, 20 months as the governor of a state with only 650,000 people, then you’re qualified to become the country’s second highest ranking executive.

·If you have been married to the same woman for 19 years while raising 2 beautiful daughters, all within protestant churches, you’re not a real Christian.

·If you cheated on your first wife with a rich heiress, and left your disfigured wife and married the heiress the next month, you’re a Christian.

·If you teach responsible, age appropriate sex education, including the proper use of birth control, you are eroding the fiber of society.

·If, while governor, you staunchly advocate abstinence only, with no other option in sex education in your state’s school system while your unwed teenage daughter ends up pregnant, you’re very responsible.

·If your wife is a Harvard graduate and lawyer who gave up a position in a prestigious law firm to work for the betterment of her inner city community, then gave that up to raise a family, your family’s values don’t represent America’s.

·If you’re husband is nicknamed “First Dude”, with at least one DWI conviction and no college education, who didn’t register to vote until age 25 and once was a member of a group that advocated the secession of Alaska from the USA, your family is extremely admirable.

Can anyone clear these things up for me??

Why did this man put a restraining order on my friend then move to where she moved to clear across the US ?

This man was married to the grand daughter of a mob boss. he took my friend to court and got a restraining order against her claiming he was afraid for his life. Judge Scoville made her leave the state. She relocated over 3000 miles away. this man we will call Sal follwed her and moved his wife, father and mother there and lived three blocks away. She mysteriously was raped at the Scottsdale Hilton Resort. Then someone broke into her home with her three day old baby, drugged her with PCP and Ecstasy. She lost her mind then died.
