My Dads An Alcoholic &+ I Cant Deal With It Anymore.?

  • Posted on April 13, 2011 at 4:19 pm

My dad has been an alcoholic for as long as i can remember. I remember when i was little that he used to beat my mom cuz of the alcohol. Remind you im 16 now. He doesnt abuse her anymore. But its just the simple fact that hes letting the alcohol take over his body. He doesnt know how to control it. He yells over the stupidest things and i try to ignore him but i doesnt work. Me and him argue till the point the police are always at our house. All the shit he did i still love my dad. he calls me bad names such as a bitch, cunt, ho, whore, slut. And what he says really hurts me cuz i think no father should call his daughter that. But i know its just the alcohol thats talking. I try to be nice to him and not yell back but then he will just keep yelling. He yells about the stupidest things. The lowest things he ever yelled about was toilet paper. I feel as if i cant deal with this anymore. But i cant just leave him and my mom doesnt want to leave him either. He went to rehab and alcohol counseling but nothing works. Everytime hes been in jail is because of his alcohol. Hes on ssi and he cant get a job. All of his money goes to his beer and cigarettes. He forces my mom to spend her money on alcohol and cigarettes. I just dont know what to do anymore and i need some advice on how to just get through this. Somebody please help me or anybody else with this problem please give me advice on how you got through it.

I don’t want my Daughter to go to her Dad’s?

  • Posted on March 11, 2011 at 4:18 pm

Okay I have a bit of a problem.Maybe somebody who has been through this can help me.I have a daughter who is 18 months old.I had her from a little summer fling I had when I was 16, I am now going on 19 and her dad is 24.When he takes her, he takes her to his parent’s house and stays there with her for the weekend (she is not allowed at his current girlfriends house) My problem is….His mom is an alcoholic and his Dad is a heavy pot smoker, I know that my daughter’s dad smokes too.The house there is filthy and she is always returned to me in the same outfit and has not been bathed. She has only been there a couple of times and I do not want her to at all, but I have been told he has rights and I can’t deny him visitation, but under these circumstances I think it would be fair for me to do so.I guess my question is, what should I do? He pays child support….He was not there for her birth though and never signed her BC,also I was told that I have Full costody of her. Please help me.

My daughter came home from dad’s complaining that he smoked something that burned her eyes, made her cough…

  • Posted on February 25, 2011 at 5:20 am

She is 13 and knows what cigarettes and marijuana smell like. I have called the police and am awaiting special investigations department to open. She said that it burned her eyes, tickled her throat and made her cough. I know that 15 years ago he had smoked crack cocaine, and I suspect that it is what he smoked. She has been “seeing ghosts” and “it moved by itself” which started at his house on Saturday night and continued through Sunday night after she returned home! Which she reported to me at bedtime Sunday night. We will meet with a counselor and/or the police tomorrow to discuss it. Would crack cocaine or maybe crystal meth make a person hallucinate? She couldn’t describe the smell but said that the smell was in her stuffed animals: Maybe I should take the stuffed animals to the police. What could be my best plans of action now? Of course, she will not return to his apartment anytime soon! I was told to consult an attorney about visitation. Can you help us, please?

Help. My children hate going to their dads. They cry for hours. Do I have to send them?

  • Posted on October 14, 2010 at 1:24 am

My children are 9,8, and 6. They cry every other week when I force them to go to dads. It takes 45 minutes to drag my 9 year old out the car. My 6 year old cries to she falls asleep. My ex, has 2 dwi’s, drinks while they are there, they say he’s mean when drinking. Like my daughter cried for “her mommy” for 3 hours sat. night and he told her to “shut the hell up, or i’m going to spank you.” My 9 year old makes himself sick as Friday approaches hoping he’ll get to stay home for that reason. In January I had an attorney draw up paperwork giving joint custody with me as domiciliary parent and visitation every other weekend with dad. It took him till August to sign it finally. Still his attorney hasn’t turned it over to my attorney yet. So nothing is filed. I understand that since that’s the case I don’t have to send them over there, but Legally I don’t have custody yet either. Any suggestions from anyone with any legal knowledge on this subject. I don’t want to end up arrested for violating his parental rights, but I have 3 children who are counting on me to keep them safe and happy. I live in Louisiana, if that info. helps for anyone with Louisiana law knowledge.

this is dedicated to all the dad’s in yahoo answers!?

  • Posted on October 7, 2010 at 1:23 am

A father passing by his teenage daughter’s bedroom was astonished to
see the bed was nicely made and
everything was neat and tidy. Then he saw an envelope propped up
prominently on the centre of the pillow. It
was addressed “Dad”. With the worst premonition, he opened the envelope
and read the letter with trembling
hands:-

Dear Dad,

It is with great regret and sorrow that I’m writing you, but I’m
leaving home . I had to elope with my new
boyfriend Randy because I wanted to avoid a scene with Mom and you.
I’ve been finding real passion with Randy
and he is so nice to me. I know when you meet him you’ll like him too
- even with all his piercing,
tattoos, and motorcycle clothes. But it’s not only the passion Dad, I’m
pregnant and Randy said that he wants
me to have the kid and that we can be very happy together. Even though
Randy is much older than me
(anyway, 42 isn’t so old these days is it?), and has no money, really
these things shouldn’t stand in the
way of our relationship , don’t you agree?

Randy has a great CD collection; he already owns a trailer in the woods
and has a stack of firewood for!
the whole winter. It’s true he has other girlfriends as well but I know
he’ll be faithful to me in his own
way. He wants to have many more children with me and that’s now one of
my dreams too. Randy taught me that
marijuana doesn’t really hurt anyone and he’ll be growing it for us and
we’ll trade it with our friends
for all the cocaine and ecstasy we want. In the meantime, we’ll pray
that science will find a cure for
AIDS so Randy can get better; he sure deserves it!!

Your loving daughter,
Rosie.

At the bottom of the page were the letters “PTO”.

Hands still trembling, her father turned the sheet, and read:

PS: Dad, none of the above is true. I’m over at the neighbor’s house. I
just wanted to remind you that
there are worse things in life than my report card that’s in my desk
centre drawer. Please sign it and
call when it is safe for me to come home.I love U
