Alright I’m a little stuck on this one part of my story. This one part of the story the main character goes to a diner/bar daily after work because he is moderately depressed after his wife’s death, and when he comes home his mother finds out where he’s been after work for the past 3 months. The mother is the main babysitter of his 3 daughters, but she has a doctors appointment the day after, and insists he calls this young woman to babysit against his will.
What I need help on is if the man should come home drunk or not. At first I didn’t plan for him too because he’s not an alcoholic and just took some liquor because he was pursued it would make him feel better. If he comes home drunk I don’t know how he will make the phone call to the woman, because it would be unrealistic to have him offer her the job while intoxicated. Should he be drunk or not when arriving at home?
