Why is she always in my dreams?

  • Posted on January 21, 2011 at 1:21 pm

She’s been out of my life, since Nov. 2007. Her addictions, and her, seemingly, not caring ,mom, (who wanted to be her daughters friend, instead), had everything to do with it. Now she haunts my dreams. We talk and hang out in dreams.
Why is it, every single night?

Achieving Goals by Avoiding 5 Common Mistakes

  • Posted on July 2, 2009 at 11:47 am

Achieving goals we set for ourselves is not always an easy task. Some people set goals that are not easily attainable by any standards and this is admirable. What we’re focusing on here are people that don’t reach goals they set due to a flaw in their action plans. A person’s mindset also plays a big role in pursuing goals and objectives. Generally there are already enough obstacles between you and your goals so make it more difficult by improper planning? By identifying those areas we unknowingly overlook we should be better prepared to successfully achieve our goals.

Here are 5 common mistakes we can make that can sabotage our efforts to achieve goals we’ve set for ourselves.

Defined Plan of Action – Roadmap

Goal setting is great but it is not something that you can expect positive results from without establishing a plan. For every objective you pursue you must know how it is you are going to achieve it. Without a plan your goals are really nothing more than dreams.

Precise and Focused Actions

Approaching your goals in a ‘scattershot’ fashion is both a sloppy and ineffective way to successfully complete or pursue anything.

The plan you established to meet your goals should be a well thought out step by step process that will help you meet every objective to attain your goals. Every action you take should be a deliberate action as already pre-established in your plan. These actions will also be arranged in such an order so that each one will bring you that much closer to the end results you seek.

It is important that you maintain the order of your planned actions for you to gain the quickest results in the most efficient manner.

Identify Your Motivation

For everything you may ‘want’ there is always a reason for this want. The stronger it is you may want or desire something the more probable it is you’ll get it. Goals are no different insofar as the stronger your desire to reach your goals the likelier it will happen.

When you establish goals be clear as to why you’ve set them in the first place. By identifying your reasons they will serve as the motivation to keep your drive alive until your objectives have been met. If your want is not strong enough it’s likely the goals won’t be attained.

Lack of Positive Attitude

Why would anyone set a goal they didn’t think they could reach? Believe it or not it happens all the time. If you doubt yourself in your pursuit you are actually working AGAINST your own efforts to realize these objectives. If you believe or know you can be successful this alone will give you the resolve needed to make it happen.

Self doubt will only lead to the need for more effort and likely frustration and failure!

Lack of Experience

When I speak of experience here I’m not necessarily referring to the kind that yields successful results. Trial and error is one of the most effective ways to learn ANYTHING! It is not at all uncommon for many to try and fail a number of times before being successful at something. Do you remember learning to ride a bike?

Sometimes lacking this type of ‘learning’ experience makes it a little more difficult to reach our desired results. Often times knowing ‘what not to do’ is just as valuable as knowing how to do it!

Achieving goals is something to be admired and a rewarding accomplishment for anyone. Just as admirable is setting the goals and objectives in the first place. Careful attention however needs to be given to your own mindset and the necessary action plans you’ll need to reach goals that you set. If this important stage of your goal setting is overlooked you’re dooming yourself to failure before you even start.

Pitfalls to achieving goals

  • Posted on July 1, 2009 at 9:05 pm

1. Not excited about your goal. If you are excited about what you have set for yourself, chances are you will make it as compared to when you are not. So do whatever it takes to make it more exciting and interesting. One of the things that you can do is to interact and share with people having a similar interest or goal.

2. You doubt whether you will make it at the onset. If to begin with you doubt whether you will be able to make it, chances are you will not. Self belief is the key ingredient to achieving your goal. If you are in the game you ought to tell yourself that there is every chance of you winning and that you will do whatever it takes to win. Doubt = failure.

3. Soon the excitement fizzles out. Post the initial high when you really wanted to make things happen, if you are not able to maintain the same level of interest as you had in the initial days, of course you run out of fuel before you reach your destination.

4. Giving up a little too soon. Desirable things have a cost in terms of the effort and other resources you put in. And sometimes after all the hard work too you are not there and you pant and say how much more to go before I get there. Everyone who has worked on tough goals would know that it is something that each one has to go through. Many would leave it at that and give up, but some who make it through these toughest later parts are the ones who successfully realise their dreams.

5. Failing to plan. You wanted to get there but did not plan how. You drifted and did not take note before you were way way off the direction. Planning and tracking are not just management terminology, this is something necessary for anything that you are serious about doing. Business houses will be out of business if they don’t do it and as individuals we will not realise anything either.

6. Trying to chew more than what you can eat. One day you are all excited and try to fix every ill in your life. You sit down and list all the things that you want to do. Big bang approaches like these don’t work. They say, ‘You can eat an elephant if you eat it in pieces’. So what is necessary is to see what can be achieved realistically and then plan and prioritise.

How to get motivated and live your dream

  • Posted on July 1, 2009 at 9:04 pm

As a song once stated that Dreams can come true, how would you feel if you knew that you could turn your dreams into your reality.

In reading this I believe that you want to change your life for the better.

But

How can this be done?

By making the decision to do so, make this day be the first day of the rest of your life and this is done by making the decision and or choice to do so, and that is your first step.

What do you want out of your life?

What have you always dreamt of being, doing or having?

Get yourself a note book and write it down. Think about the above questions and be honest with yourself.

Put aside those negative thoughts of what you have thought about yourself and what other people have told you, because as of now they do not matter.

What makes you happy?

What gets you motivated?

Think about this question because at first it is not an easy question to answer so, be patient with yourself.

Write your answers into your note book and keep your note book in a safe place, where you can look at it regularly.

Put aside what happened yesterday because you can not change what happened yesterday.

Today is the day that you can change and influence so be thankful for today and be glad in your today.

What kind of life would you like to live?

Think of something that would get you up in the mornings, something that would get you motivated.

Visualize it, sit quietly and close your eyes and see the life that you want.

I collect pictures, pictures that I have taken and pictures from magazines and put them in a scrapbook or photo album. I call this my vision book, which I look at often, especially when the day is not going as good as I would like it to go. Eventually you will be able to visualize some of these pictures without physically looking at them. This is great when you can do this. I have done this in meetings and some really boring events. It makes you happy and that is nothing but being in a healthy space no matter where you are.

When collecting your pictures remember that there is no limit to what you want in your life and that you can have what ever you want, so remember this when collecting your pictures and writing your lists.

This is a quote that keeps me motivated “Society Predicts But You Determine Your Future”.

Put this up where you can see it regularly.

Do these simply tips daily and see the magic work in your life.
See yourself getting motivated to live your dream

I would love to know your progress on your journey, please leave me a comment.

Motivation Exercise and The Essential Benefits You Get From It

  • Posted on July 1, 2009 at 9:04 pm

Motivation is that which drives a person to attain a goal or realize a dream. Whatever your goals are in life and whatever your motivational factors are, performing a motivation exercise can help you stay inspired and on track. Life is filled with stressful moments and sometimes, they can overwhelm you and make you feel like giving up on your goals. Unfortunately, there is no wonder drug to produce motivation. It simply has to come from within a person. However, there are many ways to inspire motivation such as a motivation exercise that help deal with the unconstructive forces in life.

One good example of a motivation exercise is known as “creative visualization”. You can do this anytime and wherever you might be. This motivation exercise simply involves creating a mental picture of yourself realizing your dreams. Feel free to be as detailed with your visualization. By holding onto the mental picture that you have created and using it in your daily life, you can motivate yourself to work for your dreams.

Verbal affirmation is another motivation exercise that works well with creative visualization. The power of words has long been proven and pronouncing your success strengthens your vision even more. Once you have captured your vision, affirm it. When you speak positive and encouraging words to yourself, you become empowered.

An essential motivation exercise when setting your goals is to write them down. This helps you to understand fully what it is you are trying to achieve. It is hard to become motivated when your goals are not clear to you so make sure to practice this motivation exercise with every new goal you have. Having a written statement of your goals also allows you to go over them at a later time, which is important because changes happen all the time that you may need to adjust your goals.

In addition, be sure to write down your reasons behind your goals. Why do you want to achieve them? This is important because life can throw blows at your plans that can dampen your spirit. Having something tangible to remind you of your reasons is a great way to gain back your motivation.

Recording your progress in a journal is another excellent way to stay motivated. When you are going through a rough time, you can look back at what you have already achieved and realize that quitting is certainly not worth it.

The above exercises are simple but effective ways to get you started on your dreams and keep you going when you are running out of fuel. Begin with even just one motivation exercise and be inspired.

How to right a love letter

  • Posted on July 1, 2009 at 7:57 pm

If You Are Already Lovers

1. Tell your lover, in detail, what you want to do to them
2. Remind your lover, in detail, what the two of you did the last time you were in bed
3. Describe your lover’s body like you just saw it for the very first time
4. Talk about how hard/wet/frustrated you are writing this letter

If You Are Not Yet Lovers, but More Than Acquaintances

1. Make an intimate observation
2. Tell a secret about yourself
3. Talk about how hard/wet/frustrated you are writing this fucking letter
4. Don’t chicken out! Send it

The Three Best Love Letters I Ever Got

I got out all these letters and read them again before I wrote them down. It occurred to me that all of them have elements of frustrated longing, and sadness–that was the tragic part and the hot part all at the same time.

1. My 18 year old boyfriend was in boot camp. He sent me a piece of paper with nothing on it but his name, a heart, and his dried semen crinkling up the page.
2. My married lover had just signed a new “relationship contract” with his wife, promising to end their non-monogamous open agreement, and to never see me or touch me again. He wrote me a letter about how every day at work and all night, all he could do was think about me and my pussy and how he was going to go crazy if he couldn’t fuck me again.
3. My girlfriend left the country and a trail of tears behind her. A year later, on my birthday, which she had never remembered before, I got a postcard from her, in Spanish. I nearly tore my dictionary apart trying to translate it. Half way through I realized, it wasn’t her words, it was Roy Orbison:

“In dreams I talk with you
In dreams you’re mine
All of the time with you
Ever in dreams, in dreams”

The Power of Belief to Transform Your Experience

  • Posted on July 1, 2009 at 7:57 pm

Just had a great conversation with a friend who was telling me about some business associates who have had a complete turn around on their dream.

A few months ago, they were enthusiastic and on fire for their future. Unfortunately, they didn’t keep their mental doors locked … and something negative slipped in, and they dropped the pursuit of their dream.

All failure begins this way.

People may have high hopes, but when their perceived circumstances suggest a lesser outcome is more likely (perhaps via an unexpected obstacle), this perceived discrepancy becomes the initial seed of failure.

Being unaware of how this process destroys the dreams of countless people, they fall victim to its seduction.

Take a look at what happens and how this process works:

1. We all have two parts in our thinking: One is our dream or goal, and the second is the belief that it might not ever happen. This is where most people start out.

2. Next, something begins to spark or inspire a person to take action on their dream. (Yet, not having a full understanding of the Laws of Success, they are actually moving in the direction of their dream with a great deal of ignorance. Ignorance is not necessarily a bad thing, as long as a person stays open to what he/she must learn along the way. The problem is many individuals are not open to growth and change.)

3. Their subconscious manifests an obstacle to keep them from experiencing anything “new”. This new challenge is perceived as a point of failure.

It is at this point in a person’s journey where moving forward becomes too painful or fearful, and a person usually chooses to stay “safe”. The truth, however, is that this is also the point where moving forward would allow a person to see the bigger win they are hoping for!

You see, YOUR beliefs control your perception of everything in your world, which in turn creates your reality. If you want to change your reality, you must use new information to change your beliefs AND your perception. Until you see things differently, you will continue to makes choices that keep you where you are. And eventually, you will give up on your dreams.

In other words, your experiences reflect your belief system. This means that if there is anything in your life you don’t want to experience all you need to do to change “it” is to change the belief that caused “it” in the first place!

In theory, it’s really simple … but in practice, many people find it difficult because they really don’t understand all beliefs are nothing but illusions anyway. But these illusions are so strong people think that they are real when actually they are not.
The power of belief is astounding. I encourage you to study its mysteries for yourself and see what changes you truly do have the power to make.

“Just Believe”

How The Chinese Culture Read Skin Moles

  • Posted on July 1, 2009 at 7:57 pm

Normally when we have a skin mole we think about how it got there and whether it is a birthmark or if it could perhaps be malignant. What several of us do not stop to think about is whether or not it could mean something different. Do you know that in the Chinese civilization the people learn how to read these moles?

This is a hobby for them and betting on where the moles are settled on your body it may mean many various things. We wish to show you precisely what these moles will mean and how they are able to tell you the kind of individual you are and the type of life you are going to have.

Chest

When the skin mole is placed the centre of the chest it is a sign that you are the type of individual that has dreams and an aspiration to succeed in life. This is the same for both women and men. If it is right beneath the chest – but still in the centre then it is a mark that you are someone who has a kind heart and is really generous.

Wrists

When they are located on the inner side of the wrist this can mean a couple of different things that will count on if you are a man or a woman. When placed on a man it means that you will have problems trying to keep the money that you have earned. The more money you make the more you will need to spend.

On women this has a synonymous meaning. It entails that she is more likely to drop a large amount of money then what she can afford and she has an unstable personality. When the mole is situated on the outer side of the wrist it implies men will have a love life that is not stable. Women on the other hand will have a friend that will deceive them and distribute gossip about them.

Back

When you are reading skin moles that are on the middle of your back this is a sign that men and women will have a difficult time working to keep their jobs. Unluckily it also means that they will experience a series of bad luck.

Skin Moles are usually just a simple mark on our skin but the Chinese Mole Reading is an art form that can help us determine our future. Learn how you can Recognize Skin Moles.

Self Improvement Solution – A-Z List Of Motivation Tips

  • Posted on July 1, 2009 at 7:56 pm

Through pain there is always motivation. Getting bad grades in school shows you that you need to put your head down and study. Being in debt gives the motivation to find another source of income to help pay of the bills. Being humiliate gives us the strength to fight back and make sure we aren’t humiliated again. There are many other ways where motivation comes through but when we are faced with countless numbers of negativities and pain the world fires at us, how do we stay motivated during it? In this article I will give you a list ranging from A-Z of self improvement solutions that will give you the motivation you need.

A – Achieve your dreams.

It is possible to achieve your dreams. What you have to ask yourself is are you willing to work hard for them? They are not impossible to achieve, as Alexander the Great once said “Impossible is nothing to him who will try”. Believe in yourself and you will have no problem achieving your dream.

B – Believe in yourself

If you don’t believe in yourself who else will? If you believe you can do something then go straight ahead and do it.

C – Consider things on every angle and aspect.

Make sure you understand thins from both sides. There is always another side to the argument.

D – Don’t give up and don’t give in.

Giving up won’t help you and it won’t make you feel any better. Do you think the Einstein’s answer just fell into his lap? No he worked hard and was determined. “The pain of the moment is temporary but the pain of giving up can last a lifetime”.

E – Enjoy.

Enjoy your life! You will feel a lot better when you realise how great your life really .

F – Family and Friends

These people will be your bright light in times of darkness. They will guide you when you need help. Don’t lose them for they are a great source of motivation.

G – Give more than what is enough.

Put in extra effort. Doing the bare minimum won’t get you praised, by doing extra you get complimented which is bound to give you a boost in motivation.

H – Hang on to your dreams.

Just because someone says that your idea is rubbish doesn’t mean you give up on it. You keep it with you, you never know when it will come in handy.

I – Ignore those who try to destroy you.

Many people you know will be full of negativity and they will try to take any one down to feel the same way they do. Keep away from these people as they will do everything to break your motivation down

J – Just be yourself.

Don’t try pleasing everyone. It is a hard thing to do. Your real fiends will love you for who you are, not who you aren’t

K – keep trying no matter how hard life may seem.

There will be time when life seems to be hard and complicated but don’t let that bother you. Keep working hard and sooner or later you will break through to a much happier time.

L – Learn to love yourself.

If you love yourself then you will feel a lot happier than if you hated yourself.

M – Make things happen.

Don’t wait for a leader to come and push you. Do it yourself, Jump! You will be a lot happier with what you have achieved.

N – Never lie, cheat or steal.

Doing any of those could not only land you in trouble but doing these will make you feel bad soon enough and you will regret doing it (major motivation killer).

O – Open your eyes.

You need to learn to open your eyes. Don’t look at how things should be, look how you want things to be and work towards them

P – Practice makes perfect.

Practice will stop us from making the same mistakes, practice will give us the motivation we need to become better.

Q – Quitters never win. And winners never quit.

Do you want to win? I certainly do! Don’t quit, you never know how close you are to your objective if you quit.

R – Ready yourself.

Be prepared for anything that will come your way. Start and build yourself up before people knock you down. Remember it wasn’t raining when Noah built the ark, he prepared for it.

S – Stop procrastinating.

T – Take control of your life.

Your life is your life. Not someone else’s so don’t let yourself get pushed around

U – Understand others.

Understanding others will allow you to understand where they stand. If they are negative or positive.

V – Visualize it.

Visualize your dream, how great it would be. Good? Well get to it!

W – Want it more than anything.

Determination will get you everywhere. If you are applying for a job and you have all the right qualifications and the other candidate is determined to succeed who do you think will get the job? A man with determination is hard to stop.

X – X Factor is what will make you different from the others.

Not the T.V show but your X-factor; your unique skill. Whatever it may be. Your unique skill is something that makes you you.

Y – You are unique.

Again the same as above. You are unique no one in this world looks, acts, or talks like you. Value your life because people value you in theirs.

Z – Zero in on your dreams

And go for it!!!

Read this list every morning for a motivation boost. Remember motivation comes to us in small burst but with these self improvement solutions you will be able to boost your motivation even in the toughest of times.
