what do you think about ecstasy?

  • Posted on August 16, 2010 at 10:23 am

at edc in california this year 120 people were hospitalized, one person reported dead so far, few others in critical condition. a 15 year old girl died from an over dose of ecstasy on saturday at ‘electric daisy carnival”. i feel so bad for that girls family, her mother was on the news talking about how she was planning her daughters 16 year birthday party and now she was planning her daughters funeral instead. this message is directed towards teens and anyone that thinks ecstasy is harmless… please think about how you would feel if anyone in your family died, and please think about how they would feel if you died, please dont hurt your family that way. drugs can kill you and your family will be the ones left with the pain. seriously guys please think before you act!

Has anyone who was on the Carnival Ecstasy 4/27 cruise filed a complaint? Call 1 800 227 6482 ext 70024?

  • Posted on August 9, 2010 at 10:23 am

We departed out of Galveston on the Ecstasy with Carnival Cruise Lines on Monday “after the President stated that we are advised not to travel to Mexico.” So we called Carnival (as late as 2pm the day we boarded and asked if all was going to be as planned and they said the Captain of our ship has been advised and that we were STILL going to our port of calls. We get on the ship and no communications are made except the Captain is in meetings and will advise us shortly. 2 days into the cruise we are in the Gulf going to nowhere. We made no stops and still no communications except that they were going to refund our port of call fees $40….wooo wooooo! One couple on the ship MISSED their daughter’s wedding!!! They were meeting her in Cozumel!!

So, have you heard the sayings.. “A CRUISE TO NOWHERE”?? That is exactly what cruise we where on. We came back a day early(Which is SUSPICIOUS, WE were told there was a medical emergency but the Ship DESTINY ALSO had to come back a day early??? Two medical emergencies??? RIGHT! (NO WAY!) Do they think we are THAT stupid!!! So anyway… duty free shopping, casinos etc closed. 1/2 the people on the ship got off so no parties…just a lame show, the clubs etc were empty. Basically we paid for a 5 day cruise WITH port calls and got a 4 day cruise with no port calls. The moral on the ship was totally different that the first cruise we took in 2006. It affected not only the cruisers but the staff as well…they were overworked due to having everyone on the ship the entire time. So FUN SHIP? I don’t think they quite pulled it off this cruise. (I do want to thank the staff who tried to do their best considering they were dealing with very unhappy customers!)

Hello Carnival…ever hear of the internet? People have a way of sharing information no so at least BE HONEST!

What should we do or what can we do to get our money back? There was talk of Class Action Law Suits etc. Anyone with info please post here or email me. They should compensate in some way. They should have been honest with us from day one and gave us a choice of getting on the cruise to NO WHERE or getting a refund or let us reschedule for a later date…instead they took our money and basically held us hostage for 4 days.

Here is a number I called and got to file a complaint but they said I had to wait until Monday. Everyone on that cruise should call…1 800 227 6482 ext 70024

Unless they make this right …this will be the last carnival cruise I make.

ex-husband is now selling ecstasy. should i report him?

  • Posted on August 6, 2010 at 7:22 pm

i was married from 1993-2002 to a man who has never paid child support, abandoned his 3 children and from whom i revoked parental rights 5 years ago (i don’t even think he knows about that). we haven’t seen or heard from him in 7 years. i recently discovered that he is back in my city (alive, well and dealing ecstasy)…he never did drugs while i was married to him, so that’s a little surprising, though he is a known con man and white collar thief. i obtained his cell phone number (unbeknownst to him). should i turn him in to the police for selling ecstasy? would they even prosecute it AND would i have to be involved in any way in his prosecution? he’s a scary individual. what should i do (if anything)? he hasn’t found us or contacted us, though he appeared at my adult daughter’s house a couple of weeks ago, asking for the zip code and was trying to rent the house across the street from her…she turned her head and pretended not to recognize him.
i have NO anger towards him. i’m simply dealing with an ethical dilemma in terms of the knowledge that i’ve been given. i would NOT want him to know that i was the one that reported him, but i WOULD like to see him off the streets so that he cannot bother us or the young people he sells to.

I have a few questions about ecstasy?

  • Posted on August 5, 2010 at 1:23 am

Is it possible to spike a drink with ecstasy?
How much do you have to take to go into labor?
Would it be a good idea to go to the hospital after having ecstasy?

I ask this because my sister who is 18 went glow in the dark bowling last night. Her story is that she was sharing a drink with a girl who was 9 months pregnant. She came home high and the girl had to go to the hospital in an ambulance from the bowling alley because she went into labor. They found ecstasy in her system and my sister said that someone must have spiked her drink with it. She said she thinks that it was her boyfriend’s ex girlfriend. I don’t know if this story is plausible because before she had her daughter, she had smoked weed quite a few times. Also, she didn’t go to the hospital and my dad didn’t make her go to the hospital when she came home. I thnk if I thought someone had spiked my drink, the cops would have been called and I would have been up at the hospital. Can anyone answer my questions and clear this issue up please? Thanks in advance.
She came home high. It wasn’t the type of high she had when she was on drugs. Actually, the only reason I mentioned marijuana was to suggest that I know she has done drugs before which is why I am having a hard time believing her. They definitely know it was ecstasy though because the pregnant girl was found to have it in her system and she was drinking the same drink as my sister supposedly.
I am not that stupid. Why would I make up such an elaborate story just to ask wether or not it would be safe to take. My sister really did come home last night high. Geez. Some people are so rude. I am not that stupid.

Ecstasy and memory / function problems?

  • Posted on July 30, 2010 at 7:24 pm

My 19 yr. old daughter has been steadily taking ecstasy at raves for 7 months. I made her leave our home because of her behavior and attitude. She has only been clean for perhaps 2 weeks. Talking with her last night, it is clear that her memory is unstable. If she is interrupted while talking she can’t remember what she was saying and frequently stops in the middle of a sentence because she can’t keep a train of thought. Simple tasks are difficult for her to complete. She says that she knows it’s simple, but blanks out on how to do it.

It’s my understanding that there is no rejuvenating our brain cells and once they are gone, that’s it. She MAY be allowed back home, however, I have told her that she must get psychiatric (she is also bi-polar) help and counseling for her addictions. Is there anything that can be done to help her memory and every-day functioning?

I only caught the part where he is selling ecstasy to these two girls and they try to get sexual. Also saw when he goes to this house and the grandma is upstairs and tells him to go in the basement where her daughter is doing bondage. It was bizarre….so curious. Please help me!

15 year old daughter doing ecstasy w/ 18 year old at clubs…?

  • Posted on July 26, 2010 at 10:22 am

was checking my daughters myspace email and found correspondence between her and an 18 year old guy who claims to be a corrections officer. says he gave her drugs and they went to club w/other people.
my daughter lives w/ her dad, not me. dad was not aware of this, however, i have since informed him.
i called police, they say they cannot do much/anything. i am contacting the state (this guys employer) tomorrow to file complaint.
my ex and i do not communicate very well, and i don’t feel he gives her enough supervision (obviously).
i spoke with my daughter about this and she owned up to it all. she says she felt she had no purpose in life and it was a kind of crazy time (this was last november 28th). she says she only did it twice and it scared her a lot and she hasn’t and will not ever do it again (thank god). i believe her.
i am doing the best i can, but feel there must be something more i can do for my child. any suggestions/ideas ? not bashing, please, just suggestions. thanks.
yep, you are all correct. you all have very good advice….like i said, i am doing the best i can. i am currently in the process of having her placed back in my home. however, she is 15 and says she wants to live with her dad, not me. where we live, judge will take that into consideration….but why would she want to live with me ? i WOULD supervise her, know what i mean ?

Is it possible to prosecute the 14 yr old who slipped my daughter ecstasy?

  • Posted on July 26, 2010 at 6:19 am

My 14 yr old was nearly killed, after being slipped the drug “ecstasy” in her soda. Her 14 yr old “friend” is the only suspect. My daughter wasn’t with anyone else and blood tests point to the day the drug was ingested (as it is usually only in the body 24-72 hours). My daughter’s reaction to learning she tested positive, indicate she is telling the truth. She had no idea she took this and it was absolutely against her will. She has been interviewed by doctors and psychiatrists, as well as 3 mental health counselors. As her mom, I had to look objectively at the circumstances and although I don’t want to think she was experimenting, I had to consider the possibility. I am convinced she never chose this.
I have filed a police report, but they’re waiting to interview my daughter in person. She’s being released today, after a 5 day hospitalization.
The drug caused memory loss, seizures, mania, a suicide attempt (after “crashing”) and she was ultimately given anti-psychotic medication at the ER. She has fully recovered and does not seem addicted. With her medical condition (major depression/anxiety), this was one of the worst things she could have had in her system.
I’m wondering if we will have enough evidence with hospital records and testimony from my daughter and my family to prosecute the girl who did this to her. If she’ll poison her best friend, she’s clearly a danger to anyone. I don’t want anyone else to be victimized by her. We live in Michigan.
Any advice is greatly appreciated. Meanwhile, I’m filing for PPO for my daughter.
Thank you!!!
I should add – NOTHING else was in my daughter’s blood test or urinalysis. No marijuana, no nothing. She has never used drugs and has never tested positive for anything. I have years of her medical records and she’s been routinely drug tested since her treatment for depression began last year. I signed for the police to have access to all of them.
You and I know, if a kid was experimenting w ecstasy, there would be pot or something else showing up with a positive result. No 14 yr old just takes ecstasy by itself.
None of her meds would have given these results either, by the way.
No alcohol was involved. And with her condition, it is ABSOLUTELY possible she could have become addicted. We were looking at possible drug rehab for her.
She has major depression (which is stabilized) and ecstasy stops all production of serotonin. Research what it can do chemically.
When my daughter woke up in the hospital and was told she tested, she was sobbing and begging to know when it would leave her body. She was so scared. If she would have known, she’d be protecting her best friend.
Instead, she begged me to call her school so this girl couldn’t hurt anyone else. She kept asking why someone would do this to her. It was one of the scariest things I’ve ever seen. It took 3 adults (1 police officer) to save her when she was attempting suicide on Monday. Thank God we reached her in time!!!
