Daughter is moving out of state, with young kids, with no shelter, healthcar etc.. anything my mother can do?

  • Posted on February 24, 2011 at 6:20 am

We live in Indiana and my sister in law told my mother in law today that her and her boyfriend and there two young kids are going to up and move to Illinois to get away from family. We have recently caught on to them doing drugs, by the way. We believe she is addicted to pain pills and doing meth. They are going to Illinois, and they will have no where to live, healthcare, etc… Is there anything I can do or is this some form of neglect??? Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks

Imagine you were patroling an area, and you come upon a car that is swerving alot. You pull the car over and are suprised to see your son or daughter driving some vehicle, and in the back is enough cocaine to get twenty or more years in jail, what do you do? Do you turn your son or daughter in to the criminal justice system, or do you try and find another soultion to either cover up the incident, or make less of a charge?

Doesn’t necessarily have to be your favorite, you can hate it for all I care, I just want the one that stands out most. I know there’s a lot, so if you don’t want to read all of them that’s fine. I’m just having such a hard time trying to come up with a pen name!

Severe chronic pain etc.. and have problems with my doctor, I need some advice, please.?

  • Posted on September 2, 2010 at 1:20 am

I was in a severe SUV accident and lucky to be alive. It happened a year ago and I had a closed head injury, short term memory loss, punctured lung, 7 broken ribs, broken collar bone (shoulder) that has had surgery but still hurts like heck, fractured back, and 6 herniated disks. On top of all this I have fibromyalgia, depression and anxiety. I take Morphine 3 times a day, Percocet 3 times a day and lorizapam 3 times a day and liboderm patches 2 to 3 a day. I am at a level 7 at all times on the pain scale and sometimes higher.
I used to have a business and have lost it because I cannot work. I cant even cook, or take care of my household. I am on the state health plan that many doctors do not take, so I can’t go to a pain management doctor and a back surgeon said he would do surgery on me if I was 60 and I am in my early 40′s.
I am on welfare now trying to get on social security and have been denied twice now. I appealed for a hearing now.
My case worker from welfare scheduled me an appointment because they sent a letter to my doctor to fill out to discuss my condition and my limitations and my doctor filled it out and said I can go to work full time without any accommodations.
Then she said by law she can make me work, but looking at me she knew I could not and will not make me work. She said that I need to have a serious talk with my doctor about why he has done this and he is also affecting my social security. She saw how much pain I was in and my condition is so obvious.
I have seen this doctor for over 20 years and I don’t know what to do or what to say. I have told him I spend every day in bed or on the couch. The pain is too severe. I have to wear a back brace, use a cane, shower with a stool, have a grab bar which were all prescribed to me. My teenage daughter has to do a lot and I have friends to mow my lawn and help clean my home.
She said it would be better to stay with this doctor then to look for another one because SSI would question all the different doctors I go to to find the right one to help me.
I am so upset and crying and don’t understand why my doctor is doing this to me. I feel he is trying to ruin me and my life and I just can’t handle it.
Any suggestions, please.
I try to stretch like you mentioned, but it is hard. Not only do I have fibromyalgia, I have a broken back with a wedge shape deformity that has by now already healed in that position since I could not get back surgery.
Also, my doctor changed after 2 things happened. One, my sister in-law stole 4 days worth of my percocet and the doctor got mad and yelled if it happens again, find another doctor. And two, I told him I had an attorney and since then he has been weird, down playing my symptoms and just finding out releasing me to work when I am disabled and cannot work anymore. If I could, I would have not lost my business I worked so hard for.
If I have to find another doctor. How can I go about doing it, finding one that cares, that will fill out my social security paper work. Just plan take on a heavy load to have to go through my history.

Can you pass HPV via toilets, bathtubs, etc…?? My wife INSISTS those are ways to get it.?

  • Posted on August 8, 2010 at 4:18 pm

My wife has called some HPV hotline and insists that we (yep, we are both infected but monogamous…married for 7 yrs) can pass along this virus to our daughter via toilet, bath tub, etc…I have YET to find evidence supporting this. Can someone tell me if this is true and if so, where do I go to find that info? My wife is on a binge to clean the toilet, bath tub, FULL arms, etc…EVERY time either she or I use the restroom ahead of our 5 yr old daughter. We’ve know about this for yrs so I have been through this for yrs. I just need to know if her concerns are valid or if she is just overdoing things a bit. Looking for answers to verify all this.
