The Battle of Karbala, reasserted the moral and spiritual in a time when the ‘Amir-ul-Momineen Yazid’ had denigrated the faith beyond recognition. (see below)

Source(s):
Ibn Kathir reports on the character of Yazid:
“Traditions inform us that Yazid loved worldly vices; would drink; listen to music; kept the company of boys with no facial hair; played drums; kept dogs; made frogs, bears and monkeys fight. Every morning he used be intoxicated, and he used to bind monkeys with the saddle of a horse and make the horse run.”

Ibn Sa’d writes in his book, “Tabaqat Al-Kubra” regarding the nature of Yazid: “Abdullah bin Hanzala the Sahaba stated, ‘By Allah we opposed Yazid at the point when we feared that stones would reign down on us from the skies. He was a Fasiq who copulated with his mother, sister and daughters, who drank alcohol and did not offer Salaat.”

Angry Obama Supporters, how many of the following questions will O’Reilly ask 2 Obama Tomorrow?

  • Posted on November 26, 2010 at 7:22 pm

By popular demand…I emailed Bill all these questions. Since Bill is a smart guy…I’m sure he will touch on some of them without even having to consult my Great Questions Handbook.

I’m sure Angry Obama Supporters don’t mind…after all they are …are questions on the issues?

1. Senator Obama, are we winning in Iraq? Yes or No?

2. Senator Obama, is and was the surge a success? Yes or no?

3. Senator Obama, when did life begin for your daughters?

4. Senator Obama, how is it above your paygrade to not know when life begins, but not above it to end it?

5. Senator Obama, will you denounce the Daily Kos for it’s smear tactics?

6. Senator Obama do you view baby’s born out of wedlock a punishment?

7. Senator Obama were you conceived out of wedlock? Do you view yourself as a punishment to your mother? I mean after all according to some, you are a gift to the world. You would not be here given this historical moment had you been aborted. Do you recognize that and how does it bother you consciously that you are denying that opportunity for someone else?

8. Senator Obama, you say you want to get out Iraq…if we do and Iran goes in…will you send troops back into Iraq? Seems like it makes sense to me..that you deal with Iran first before you withdraw heavily from Iraq.

9. Senator Obama you complained that American corporations are going to invest in China…did it ever occur to you by raising capital gains taxes on American corporations and the wealthy that is exactly what you will be helping?

10. Senator Obama you said our infrastructure should be like China’s…did it occur to you that China has lax regulation and building codes…that it pollutes more than the United States..in another words Senator…lax enrivonmental regulations foster the type of infrastructure you see now in China.

11. Senator Obama, some say Sarah Palin, the VP for the Republicans has accumlated more substantial experience in 2 years than you have had in 4 years. What say you?

12. Senator Obama, Sarah Palin is well known for going against the Republican establishment. When have you stood up against the Corrupt Chicago Political Machine or anyone else in the Democratic Party? Can you give me one example.

13. Senator Obama, You were the only member of the state Senate to vote against a bill to prohibit the early release of convicted criminal sexual abusers. WHY?

14. Senator Obama, as a State Senator you were also among only four who voted against bills to toughen criminal sentences and to increase penalties for “gangbangers” and dealers of Ecstasy. WHY?

15.Senator Obama, also you voted “present” on a bill making it harder for abusive parents to regain custody of their children. WHY?

16. Do you said we should show humility towards evil. Does the Sanctuary City policies like the ones in San Francisco…your idea of showing humity towards evil? I.e Senator…the Bologna Widow lost a husband and two sons because Galvin Newsome turned a blind eye and did not want to face the immigration problem

17. So do you favor Sanctuary City policies? Will you allow them to continue? What will you do about it?

arrrrrrrrrrrr

you’re soooooo angry!!!!

Cliched or not – what are you views on these following events? Can you also offer me some?

  • Posted on October 23, 2010 at 4:23 pm

There’s a story I’m working on as a gift for my sister (she’s 14) and I’ve been doing a lot of brainstorming for arcs or events that could happen in the tale. Most of my inspiration, especially the setting and scene of the story comes from the beautiful islands in Monkey Island Three (actually most of the story was inspired by the beauty of backdrops).

Well at any rate I want to work on a very special and unique gift for my sister, and since she’s always been a fan of my tales I wanted to write a story just for her. She’s a fan of fantasy, humor, sometimes intense drama (provided it’s not cheesy or cliche) and adventure so it’s a fun project to work on. She also isn’t a fan cliches so I’d like your thoughts on the following events I’ve come up with. I’d like to know if I should keep them, change them or ditch them. If I should ditch them could you help me by offering your own ideas? I want to give her something she’ll really love and enjoy reading.

The story is about a girl who gets her hands on a talisman that can transport her to a beautiful city where adventure is on every corner. Her dull and ordinary life (which she perfectly likes) goes head over heels when she finds herself knee deep in a bunch of events in the other world that puts her in a bunch of situations that is out of her comfort zone.

Some events that happen in the story:
1. The heroine is forced to masquerade as a man (a very convincing act as she has participated in a lot of plays) who courts a rich man’s daughter (a very foolish and naive girl) who has fallen for the heroine’s charms. She’s put in a very uncomfortable situation especially when the crew decide that she can get info they can use to blackmail her father with.
**At the same time her alter ego ends up being rivals with the town’s tomcat who is also after the rich girl. I was thinking this would lead her to be the victim of plenty of pranks, public humilation feats and one day a duel to prove who is more worthy for the girl’s affections.

2. The heroine ends up catching the attention of a young Duke, who is meant to be vying for the affections of an equally young Queen (her mother forces the responsibility upon her while on her deathbed). However neither one have any interest in the other; the Queen is in love with her childhood friend while the Duke is a man of knowledge, intelligence, charm and has a true joie de vivre. He has no interest in love or politics but understand that the importance of this union. He throws all of his promises out the window though when the heroine unintentionally charms him with her sarcasm, her sense of humour and her knack for being with kids. They don’t end up together though; he ends up dying, ironically enough, when he has the courage and confidence to profess his feelings for her as he is so certain nothing can go wrong. She is saddened by his death but not heartbroken.

3. The wealthy man is eager to accumulate more wealth and power so he hears of this new and wonderous drug in the form of chocolate. One small piece is all it takes to drive a person to throes of ecstasy, so it is something much sought after. I was thinking that the chocolate starts causing some problems in town which would culminate eventually into all out anarchy on the streets. It sounds a bit far-fetched though, but that’s because I have writer’s block.

I’d like some more ideas to make the story go and to keep it interesting since my sister mainly likes the action and plot parts of books (it’s what she ever really focuses on and says she can never get enough of).

Does anyone have any more ideas please?
Thanks for the tip mossface. I’m pretty undecided about the third part myself but I’m just stuck.

I need ideas, good or bad. Any ideas of your own you can share?

Thanks so much for your kind words. I really hope my sister loves it!
Thanks heaps Daniel! I was thinking of having a rival set out to destroy the duke and that seems like a nice twist to it.

Hidden: so what would be your suggestions then? What could I do to make it sounds less cliche as you say since I’m looking for ideas :)

Do you care about drunk driving – I have an invention. Please help me evaluate by answering the following..?

  • Posted on January 10, 2010 at 8:32 pm

First know:

My invention is a breathalyzer interlock – fail breathalyzer = no start car.

My invention cannot be tricked by an air compressor or a so called sober friend. No need for random tests.

My invention costs $100 to $300 retail depending on the features. Competition is around $1000.

It can be programmed to only test subjects at certain times.(ie 8pm – 2 am.. party times)

?’s:
Have you been affected somehow by a drunk driver?

Under what conditions would you buy my interlock device for yourself or your loved one?

A: court mandate
B: if I have a son/daughter/relative/spouse I am concerned about
C: when king kong decides to shave.

Would you buy a breathalyzer interlock system for yourself or a loved one if it costs $300 or less? Do you feel $300 is reasonable?

Do you feel it intrudes on your vehicle if the device is placed between the driver seat and the center console(shift lever, parking brake location). What if stored in glove compartment?
I know it already exists, but mine is better supposedly.
