Did I make a fool of myself?

So there is this guy I like in my apartment building, he’s very nice looking I’m not sure if he’s married because I only see him with a little girl that must be his daughter and I’m a single mom. I’ve very shy and usually want guys to approach me. Well, Saturday while my kids were gone I went out bought a new bookcase and then cleaned my apartment and got alittle intoxicated. When I drink I get courage, I got enough courage and knocked on his door and asked him could he help me bring up the bookcase from the back of my truck. He was like yeah sure he brought it up and I thanked him. He didn’t really talk much so I don’t know if I turned him off by drinking or if he’s shy too. My friends say I should thank him again and offer to buy him a 6six pack or offer to make him dinner. What should I do?
