my son hates his father & won’t let him see grandchildren..my daughter and other son are upset with their brot?

my oldest son who hates his father lived with him;the other two with me.His father is a functional alcoholic and according to my son (I agree) he pouts and plays mental games with his grandchildren (ages 5,1)my daughter and other son think he should bury the hatchet and let him see his grandchildren.Their feelings on the subject are so strong that my daughter is thinking of telling her brother.He has no idea she feels this way.My daughters’s husband also feels the same.I feel it’s his desion and we need to stay out of it.

We have an adopted daughter born addicted to crack. She hates math & general punishments don’t work? HELP?

She has Severe ADHD and Fetal Alcohol Syndrome. We have tried everything from rewards to punishments and nothing works. How can we get her to do her Math without having a battle every day. She is home-schooled because she cannot make it in public school she was failing everything but she makes A’s and B’s at home with the exception of Math. Please help us?
She is 9 1/2 Years old. We do praise her on her Work well done and she earns rewards for every A she receives but Math is still a part of scool and she still has to learn it. We just can’t find a skill that will help her to learn and not be so confused.
