I have a new kitten….need advice, please.?

I had cats all my life until I married at age 19, (hubby is a “dog” man). I finally put my foot down and let my daughter adopt a 7 week old kitten who is simply beautiful. He is eating dry Kitten Chow, but he doesn’t seem to take well to drinking water. He is litterbox trained (miracle) and is very well trained. I have been substituting some Kitten Formula and offering it to him twice a day, along with fresh water and dry kitten chow. But every time I pick him up, he nuzzles my neck as if attempting to nurse. He doesn’t do this with my daughter or anyone else…just me. Don’t know why, but he “mews” and pushes with his little paws and attempts to nurse. I’m wondering if he was separated from his mother too early. Earlier we tried nursing him with a kitten bottle and kitten milk, but he literally chewed the nipple off the bottle…luckily he didn’t swallow it. I checked on worming medicine, but it says not to use on kits younger than 8 weeks. Is this just “new mom worries”?
