Im writing a monologue and i need help making it sad?

im writing a monologue about a mother dying of drunk driving. Her drinking upsets her 16 year old daughter and she is mad that she’s gone even if she put her through alot. The daughter’s father is just a worse, he is addicted to drugs and although he tried to care he had his own issues. This girl is talking to her best friend after receiving the phone call. Im having a hard time making it sad. What could i put that would make it sad. What would make your cry if you read this story and how to make it really sad thank you ahead of time.
