I went to the family court today and filed the papers, they then gave me a set to give to the father. The problem is no one knows where he is, he just left us 4 years ago. I am in constant contact with his family and they dont know where he is either.
He has an alcohol/cocaine addiction that drove a wedge between him and everyone. The reason Im filing for full custody is because im afraid if i die , they may somehow track him down and give her to him. OR he may decide to come back and gain some sort of control over her.
BIG QUESTION: What happens IF cant find him? I know I have to sign an affidavit stating that i tryed my best to find him. But will they want other proof besides the affidavit…?
