HELP! it’s about my pain in the *** daughter.?

  • Posted on November 10, 2010 at 8:20 pm

My daughter is 20 she has been a total handful since she was 13. She has stolen from me and others, lied, runaway from me, from her dad, etc. she turned 6mo. of probation into 5yrs., she set my home on fire because she was mad, she was sent to the girls school, the attention home, the correction facility, she’s been in jail, she’s stole gas, money, food, checkbook, she got off probation for 1 yr. left town ended up in Utah where she did meth, spent 5mo. in jail for meth. She got extrodited back home for forgery charges. Now she’s back on probation for forgery and drug charges. She lost her job about 2mo. ago told her therapist she had murderous thoughts towards me ended up taking just enough drugs to make herself sick not kill herself so now she’s in the state mental hospital. She’s been there 3 weeks, she should graduate like the 1st wk of May and she’s 400 miles away. She asked me tonight if I would come to her graduation. I’m just exhausted. Should I go? It will cost a lot in gas.
More in4mation.My daughter told me she began acting up because I wanted to remarry. She said she thought if she was bad enough my fiance wood run.Well we’ve been married for 6yrs and she actually has a better relationship with him than me.Her & I fight bad.Her dad died last Aug. he was a drunk & verbally abusive. She picked up his verbal abusivness and uses it against me.I luv my daughter w/all my heart.I’m just tired of giving and giving. I still have an open door policy.People that know her say she is just a spoied rotten kid.She was given everything by her dad (gifts,$,etc).I went 2 court 4 times and lost custody of her to my ex’s 2nd ex-wife that nver had kids of her own.I’m ex #3.I fought hard 4 her but because she was old enough and wanted 2 the judge ordered it.Go figure. Then she stole that womens checkbook and wrote $2000.00 in hot checks.Go figure.

My 16 year old daughter has extreme pain and we can’t find anything that helps?

  • Posted on October 15, 2010 at 3:20 am

She had surgery 2 weeks ago to have an appendectomy and they found a large ruptured hemorragoric ovarian cyst, there was also a 2cm hole in her ovary. They have been unsuccessful in giving her anything that works for pain other than in hospital iv or injections. She also has a new ovarian cyst on the same ovary now. Please help me to now what to ask the doctor to do with her pain. she has been sufferring with this since January 28th. I was told that her body does not respond to the normal ones…ie: percocet, vicodin, codine and such…but because of her age, I get the same response which is “pain meds are addicting” and I understand that, but she is on excruciating pain constantly with nothing working. I controll all her meds as well. I give them to her as scheduled…of anyone could help, I would greatly appreciate it!

Friend addicted to pain killers….?

  • Posted on October 7, 2010 at 3:19 am

My friend of 30 years is on the verge of losing me as a friend. Not only is she addicted to pills but is getting her 14 yr old daughter to be an addict like her. She will go to different drs and ERs just to get pills and now she is giving her child Valium. She takes the child to different drs as well. Other friends have ended it with her and won’t let their kids at her home. She said her daughter is sick and could die and she is frantic with worry. But instead of taking care of her, she goes to a hotel for the weekend because she needs some time away. She does this a lot. I know she went there with her new bottle of pills she got from the child’s new doctor. She is turning this girl into a mini her and it is pathetic. I have tried talking to her but it is all drama and nonsense.
She won’t work but gets her pills by offering to pay for neighbor’s RX if they give her half of the pills.
How would you handle this? I have no respect for her and being friends with her comes with a price.
She has a husband in the medical field and a family who have confronted her. It did nothing. Half the time she will call me totally looped or invite me to her house and her daughter is yelling at her and asking her what is wrong and she calls her father and tries to get help. I have seen her hurt herself too just to go to the ER to get pills and her daughter is becoming the same way. I have tried to help her but she won’t admit she has a problem now her 14 year old has one.

My boyfriend is so addicted to pain killers?

  • Posted on September 16, 2010 at 1:19 pm

My boyfriend is so addicted to pain killers, he’s been to rehab once and has went through withdraw a couple times. We have a one year old daughter so I don’t just want to walk away. He lies about everything. I’m affraid that if I just leave then it will hurt her tramatically. I need to know how to confront him so that he knows he’s done enough damage to everyone who cares about him. We’ve all tried his parents have paid for lawyers to help get him out of trouble and he still turns back to the pills. If anyone has anything that might help I would be very greatful. Thanks

36 weeks pregnant and on narcotic pain killers!?!? Please read!?

  • Posted on September 10, 2010 at 7:20 am

I’m 36 weeks pregnant and I have a slipped disc in my back. The doctor put me on TWO narcotic painkillers for the pain until I am farther along to induce me, which are Oxycontin (to take twice a day), and Percocet (to take every 4 hours). What the heck?!?! I mean, wouldn’t it be safer for the baby and for me to induce me now instead of exposing the baby to narcotics and putting me on them? Hello?!?! Am I the only one who thinks that this is just totally stupid?!?!? I also have a 2 year old daughter to take care of and it’s not easy when you can’t move because your back hurts unbearably bad and then they go and loop ya up on narcotics besides (and they’re not even really helping – dulling the pain a little bit for a little while, but not for long). What do you think? Is that just totally nuts?!?

Pain Pill Addiction – Does anyone have any experience with someone who is addicted to pain pills and at the?

  • Posted on September 6, 2010 at 10:23 am

same time doesn’t like to take showers but once every 4-7 days? Our daughter has a pain pill problem and its wrecked some of her teeth. But we’ve also noticed she will go for days without a shower. I was wondering if the effect of pain pills on the skin makes it uncomfortable to take a shower…or it could be a self esteem thing. No guesses please (I can do that myself)…I need to hear from experience. Thanks.

Can someone recommend a pain clinic or doctor in the Denver Area? Advice for severe pain?

  • Posted on September 4, 2010 at 7:20 pm

I’ve been suffering from back pain for a couple of years and it has become extremely intense in the past year. My husband lost his job so we lost our insurance, so I’ve been going to a clinic for the past year. Luckily, he found another job that he’s been working at for about 2 months now and our insurance is about to kick in. I was wondering if someone knows of a good doctor in Colorado. I’d really like to find someone who is caring and compassionate.

It started during my second pregnancy and went away a couple months after the birth of my son. Then it returned when I was pregnant with my 3rd child and got rapidly worst. After my daughter was born it just continued to get a lot worst. I had an MRI and was told I had Degenerative Disc Disease. I’ve been able to get a little physical therapy, unfortunately not a lot due to the lack of insurance. The pain has now spread to my hip. I don’t know if the pain in my hip is connected to the back pain or if it’s something completely different. But I’ve started having a hard time walking and try really hard not to leave the house because I’m so scared of having a pain attack out in public. I’m only 28 years old and have developed horrible depression from being in so much pain. I have kind of gotten used to the constant pain and have been able to manage it with pain meds, unfortunately the pain attacks are so intense I haven’t been able to get relief. I took percocet for the pain and then the doctor added extra oxycodone in addition because after 8 months I became tolerant, plus the pain increased. She recently suggested prescribing oxycontin but I’d prefer not to go that route. I’m hoping with insurance and physical therapy I can start getting relief and wean off the narcotics. I also take muscle relaxers and naproxen, plus anti-depressants. She also put me on Lyrica. I’m having some bad side affects but I’ve only been on it for a few days so I’m hoping they get more mild, I haven’t noticed a difference in the pain yet. I’ve also tried marijuana but didn’t really feel it helped me too much, maybe to be able to sleep at night. I’ve tried ice packs, hot baths, icy hot, tiger balm, ibuprofen, herbal teas, juicing, deep breathing, meditation. Flexeril completely knocks me out so I had to stop taking it.

I’d like to find a doctor who will help me get better control of the pain and give advice on what I can do other then just keep taking more pills. I’ve been doing yoga and stretching but I’m still having a lot of pain. I’d like a doctor who isn’t opposed to painkillers either. I’m hoping to find other ways to get pain control, but untill that happens I have a 3 year old, 2 year old, and 8 month old with a husband who works 75 hours a week and absolutely no one to help me. So I need to have some kind of pain management. I was told I’d never be completely pain free, but I just want to be able to take my kids to the park, and zoo, do normal housework and stop feeling like a complete failure as a wife and mother. It’s really hard for me, I used to play all these sports and run 8 miles a day, even completing marathons, now I can barely make it up the stairs without tears. So if you know of a good doctor, please let me know. Or if you have any advice, I would really appreciate it. Acupuncture, supplements, stretches, I will be grateful for any advice. Thank you!

Severe chronic pain etc.. and have problems with my doctor, I need some advice, please.?

  • Posted on September 2, 2010 at 1:20 am

I was in a severe SUV accident and lucky to be alive. It happened a year ago and I had a closed head injury, short term memory loss, punctured lung, 7 broken ribs, broken collar bone (shoulder) that has had surgery but still hurts like heck, fractured back, and 6 herniated disks. On top of all this I have fibromyalgia, depression and anxiety. I take Morphine 3 times a day, Percocet 3 times a day and lorizapam 3 times a day and liboderm patches 2 to 3 a day. I am at a level 7 at all times on the pain scale and sometimes higher.
I used to have a business and have lost it because I cannot work. I cant even cook, or take care of my household. I am on the state health plan that many doctors do not take, so I can’t go to a pain management doctor and a back surgeon said he would do surgery on me if I was 60 and I am in my early 40′s.
I am on welfare now trying to get on social security and have been denied twice now. I appealed for a hearing now.
My case worker from welfare scheduled me an appointment because they sent a letter to my doctor to fill out to discuss my condition and my limitations and my doctor filled it out and said I can go to work full time without any accommodations.
Then she said by law she can make me work, but looking at me she knew I could not and will not make me work. She said that I need to have a serious talk with my doctor about why he has done this and he is also affecting my social security. She saw how much pain I was in and my condition is so obvious.
I have seen this doctor for over 20 years and I don’t know what to do or what to say. I have told him I spend every day in bed or on the couch. The pain is too severe. I have to wear a back brace, use a cane, shower with a stool, have a grab bar which were all prescribed to me. My teenage daughter has to do a lot and I have friends to mow my lawn and help clean my home.
She said it would be better to stay with this doctor then to look for another one because SSI would question all the different doctors I go to to find the right one to help me.
I am so upset and crying and don’t understand why my doctor is doing this to me. I feel he is trying to ruin me and my life and I just can’t handle it.
Any suggestions, please.
I try to stretch like you mentioned, but it is hard. Not only do I have fibromyalgia, I have a broken back with a wedge shape deformity that has by now already healed in that position since I could not get back surgery.
Also, my doctor changed after 2 things happened. One, my sister in-law stole 4 days worth of my percocet and the doctor got mad and yelled if it happens again, find another doctor. And two, I told him I had an attorney and since then he has been weird, down playing my symptoms and just finding out releasing me to work when I am disabled and cannot work anymore. If I could, I would have not lost my business I worked so hard for.
If I have to find another doctor. How can I go about doing it, finding one that cares, that will fill out my social security paper work. Just plan take on a heavy load to have to go through my history.
