Are mood swings normal when trying to quit an addiction?

My daughter is trying to stop cutting and she’s having the worse mood swings ever. She’s 15, I think its hormonal but I’m not sure. Are mood swings normal?

I have to quit breastfeeding cold turkey, please help?

My daughter is 11 months old and I have a terrible bacterial infection of the stomach, due to food poisoning. I had a CT today and they told me I would have to do a “pump and dump” for 24 hours. Then the MD came back and told me the only antibiotic I can take that will cover the entire scope of my illness is not recommended with breastfeeding and I would have to quit. Sophie is already drinking whole milk, so that’s not a problem….

Just wondering how to do this? Do I pump in place off for a few days and slowly wean, or do I just quit and take some antihistamines to help dry up?

Thanks…… feeling sad, wanted to do this until she was 1… :(

do you ever completely recover from symptoms of drug addiction even after you quit?

daughter was heavy into drugs, weed, then cocaine, pills, not sure what else, she quit about 6 ;months ago. now she’s having attacks similar to withdrawal from cocaine. Does this ever completely go away?

ive been trying to quit smoking but havnt succeeded?

ive been smoking for about 8 years. i smoke a pack a day and have a serious addiction to cigarettes. i want to stop for my daughter and for my health. any suggestions?

should I have my daughter arrested? She is taking meth, and can’t quit.?

She refuses to go anywhere for help. I don’t know what to do! I know that the people she hangs with are using as well. She can’t hold a job, doen’t come around to see her family and seems like a stranger.

My boyfriend/partner of 4 years drinks a lot every night. How can I help him quit?

I didn’t realize how much he drink until I moved in with him about a year ago. He drinks every night starting about 5 until after dinner. He cooks, listens to music and parties until dinner, then watches very little tv and crashes. We never go anywhere in the evening unless it has to do with drinking (bar, restaurant). He won’t ever go to family gatherings because he can’t binge drink. He has a good heart and is a wonderful guy. He works hard and never misses work. He can drink 15 beers then get up in the morning and hit the gym. Is there hope or should I just move on and realize I made (another) bad choice in picking a mate? My daughter has moved out of the house but knows he drinks too much. He has drank like this for over 20 years and has never been married and doesn’t have kids. I’m starting to see why! I try to always “fix” things and I’m going crazy because I hate what he is doing to our relationship.
