Has anyone ever recovered from being a meth addict?

I honestly think they are the scum of the earth. My EX sister in law has been married once before my brother in law. She had to children with her ex, the boy is 15 the girl is 10. She had a child with my brother in law and their daughter is now 5. She is currently pregnant with some random meth heads baby and has left all of her children. I dont care what happens to her because I pretty much hate her by now, but for my brother in laws sake is there any chance of this fu**ed up woman to recover?
FYI I did try to help her, you know what she did in return? Stole $400 from my husband for meth, so this isn’t harsh.

Recovered addict seeking forgiveness from daughter………?

Is it fair for a mother to ask her daughter for forgiveness after she just disappered out of her daughters life and spiraled down the life of an addict? Will the mother after 3 1/2 years of being clean ever get to see or even hear her daughters voice again. And If the mother does get the chance what can the mother say when sorry doesn’t seem good enough. I never stopped loving or caring or thinking about my daughter. Mostly I was ashamed of what I had become. I’ve tried contacting my daughter but she never responds. I hope someone out there has some anwers. I have really turned my life around and did it not only for me but so that my daughter would maybe be proud of me. I have a good job and a very good reputation within the community where I now reside. But it feels like no matter what I accomplish in the future or present it will never be enough to make up for my horrible past. All of my accomplishments mean nothing to me if I can’t have the forgiveness of my daughter
