Re-Married for five years; wife and daughter quarrel?

My wife and I have been married for 5 yrs. I have a daughter (now 13) who now lives w/us full-time after 5 years of joint custody. As painful as the new arrangement seems to be for them it is becoming excrutiating for me mediating their quarrels. It is the same thing all the time….jealousy-and paranoia-driven madness! To further exacerbate the problem, my ex and her husband unexpectedly moved further away from our daughter which has not only created a lot of anxiety for my daughter but a lot of resentment toward my wife and me. While glimmers of progress appear here and there, monumental setbacks seem to follow resulting in a lot of resentment among and toward all three of us. My coping mechanisms have degraded from withdrawal to overeating to drinking more often and ever-increasing quantities…coupled with a lot less time to exercise I am headed toward being a sullen fat old drunk…and despised by both of them. Any feedback?

People who get divorced and remarried to the original spouse does it work out?

If someone got divorced because of one being an alcoholic and constant fighting do yhou think they will get back together? what if the drinker stopped drinking and they have a daughter together?

They are a young couple. What are the statitistics of people getting divorced young and getting remarried to the original spouse is it a good idea?
