Is this the last straw which will lead to the demise of the Western world. . .?

  • Posted on August 30, 2010 at 3:20 am

as we know it? As seen on TV, thousands of football fans “invading” Africa for the World Cup.
Binge drinking, out out of control, partying on, influenced by a society which has a population of 200 million, 45% of them having HIV.
Some of these fans will be importing this back home, and if you think this won’t matter, think again, it will go viral.
Parents, if you have sons and daughters over there, be concerned and make them aware.
Does anyone agree?

when can my daughter start drinking milk from a glass or with help of straw from glass?

  • Posted on January 9, 2010 at 4:07 am

she is so far having milk from same playtex nurser since she was one month old. she kind of associates nurser with milk and sleeping time. now i want to get rid of those liners and that extra expense. she knows how to suck from a hard starw .. she uses a glass with straw for water but refuses same for milk most of the times. if not straw directly from glass is even better…. what’s next step after bottle. she absolutely doesn’t touch sipper.

How can I encourage my 15.5 month old daughter to drink from a sippy w/wout a straw?

  • Posted on January 2, 2010 at 4:32 pm

My 15.5 month old daughter still has not comprehended how to use a sippy or cup w/straw. She will chew on the spout but still drinks from her bottle. Due to the circumstances of her delays, I understand why she is still on her bottle, but how I am at my wits end trying to get her to drink from a cup. She adhors it, but its good to chew on. She does not understand how to use a straw either. I need suggestions to get her to transition over. She does not like using a regular cup or a dixie cup cuz there is nothing to chew on. Or do I just go along w/her bottles for now until she is appantly more ready?
