can a parent compell a drug test without a court order? suspect meth use, live in WA.?

16 yr. old daughter, dr. says she has to o.k. the test and authorize me to know the results. i just want to know if my kid needs help, and the dr. says there is no legal way for me to find out. does anyone know the law on this matter in washington state?

Suspect Grown Daughter is a drug Addict?

Not sure what to do. She’s living on her own, works, goes to school full time, Just got accepted to grad school. Has a 3 year old child. We as her parents help her out alot, I babysit, Dad gives her money to pay for gas and incidentals. Single mom but recently just got engaged. She was living with a very abusive man that beat the crap outta her a few times before she left. (Father of the baby, a drug addict, crack, herion etc.. ) She has migraines and panic attacks, The docs gave her counseling advice and a lot of Xanax, Effexor and Paxil along with her Migraine stuff. (I can’t remember the name of it)
Now she’s addicted. Her personality is brutal, mean, We have always been there for her, went to court with her, supported her, Her friends report she’s popping pills like life savers and leaves the child unattended cause she is passed out. I never took pills, neither did her father, We don’t do drugs. Am just so confused as to what to do. I tried talking, it didn’t work.
When I mean I tried talking, I tried the staged intervention. Should I grab a professional when I do this? I’m so confuse. I have never gone this way before.
I meant I’m so confused. I type faster than my mind works. Thank you for all your input. I really do have to do something. I will call tomorrow to child protective agencies and see if I can go from there. I really don’t know what else to do.
thank you for the link on Effexor. That sounds just like her. I will call protective custody tomorrow and her doctor. I know she only sees one doc. but she could be getting “street stuff” also.

I suspect that my daughter is using drugs. Can anyone help me id the type by signs?

My daughter headed off to college last year but when she came back, she had started drinking and smoking. In the past 7 weeks since school has been out, she moved in with her aunt, skipped out on her without paying her bills and leaving all of her stuff there. She since went back, ripped off her aunt’s stereo and dvd collection. Her appearance has changed to where her face is really bloated and reddish albeit her weight has decreased somewhat. Her attitude went from being friendly and social to being very anti social and dark. She is all about the concept of “doom” now and has a myspace page where she proclaims it. Any suggestions on how I can help her or if it sounds like she is on drugs? On a side note, I live 1500 miles away from her. Thanks.

What do I do if I suspect abnormal behavior between a grown man and his teenage step-daughter?

I am speaking regarding an ex-boyfriend. He had an addiction to porn online, this is why I left him. I had managed to crack his password and got into his yahoo chat and discovered he had a thing for gay webcam activities and chat rooms. On top of that, I also discovered he had been a member of 2 groups that dealt with something even worse. One group was called Voyeur Dads – It is a members only group that was all about men who spy on their teenage daughter(s) and her friends. The other was a really disgusting one called Spunk my Daughter’s Face, where men posted pictures of their daughters and the other men posted the pics again after they had ejaculated on them. I never saw pics of his daughter, who is in fact his step-daughter, but he had a large collection of her collected on his computer. I always felt there was something off there and I still do, even 2 years later. I google his screen name sometimes and recently found pics of his now 16 yr. old step-daughter on a website for men.
Yes, it made sense to me to call the police, I don’t understand people who for some silly reason or out of fear, don’t do the right thing. The problem was and still is – his ex-wife hated my guts and thought I was the nutcase because I went through his computer. (Although, he never told anyone WHY I did it or what I found and of course, he said he left ME.) His ex thinks I am the devil incarnate. I have only the link to the existing website and the pictures are of her cleaning her room. ???
It’s a website where men rate how hot the girl is. This is the most recent thing I can offer. The other stuff may have been wiped off his computer after I left. I’m sure he is much smarter now about containing things. I told his ex once about a particular time when his step-daughter was over and he kissed her goodnight on the mouth. She was 15 at the time and I thought it was just creepy. His ex got mad at me and said I was trying to break up the family. I really don’t know who to turn to.
Sorry, there is such a small limit with which to write… My ex boyfriend is her legal guardian. He is practically her Dad since he was with her Mother since the step-daughter was an infant. I have a feeling he would never and has never done anything to her PHYSICALLY, but I know his online habits and what he was capable of doing behind MY back for a year and 1/2 and I think by him using her the way he does online, he can have his sick fantasies come true without truly saying he did anything wrong. She is not naked, but her cleavage is spilling out in most pictures. He has one other step-child and 2 biological children (One of which is a daughter, app. 11 or so now.) but there were hardly any pictures of them in comparison to her on his computer when I lived there. Even though I don’t think he’d cross into physical reality, I still can’t forget it. I have to do something, even though he technically has not broken any laws. At what point does fantasy become something illegal? ???
In answer to Stiif_Greygoose_Martini’s question about my ‘holier than thou attitude” after going through his personal things with his password – Thank you for your advice, it was right on and I agree with you, however…there was a reason I was looking and there was a reason I did it the way I did. If I suspect someone is doing something behind my back, I will do everything I can to find out, thank you very much. It just so happens, I found out a little more than I bargained for. Thus, the subject at hand.
