The Palin saga. True or false?

  • Posted on August 26, 2010 at 3:22 pm

The ENQUIRER has learned exclusively that Sarah’s oldest son, Track, was addicted to the power drug OxyContin for nearly the past two years, snorting it, eating it, smoking it and even injecting it. And as Track, 19, heads to Iraq as part of the U.S. armed forces, Sarah and her husband Todd were powerless to stop his wild antics, detailed in the new issue of The ENQUIRER, which goes on sale today.

THE ENQUIRER also has exclusive details about Track’s use of other drugs, including cocaine, and his involvement in a notorious local vandalism incident.

“I’ve partied with him (Track) for years,” a source disclosed. “I’ve seen him snort cocaine, snort and smoke OxyContin, drink booze and smoke weed.”

The source also divulged the girls would do anything for Track and he’d use his local celebrity to manipulate other guys “to get them to steal things he wanted.”

“He finally did what a lot of troubled kids here do,” the source divulged. “You join the military.”

And as Gov. Palin has billed the state of Alaska for various expenses related to her children, as reported by The Washington Post, The ENQUIRER’s investigation reveals that she was so incensed by 17-year-old Bristol’s pregnancy that she banished her daughter from the house.

Another family friend revealed pre-prego Bristol was as much of a hard partier as Track was.

“Bristol was a huge stoner and drinker. I’ve seen her smoke pot and get drunk and make out with so many guys. All the guys would brag that the just made out with Bristol.”

When Sarah found out the teen was pregnant by high schooler Levi Johnston, she was actually banished from the house. As part of the cover-up, Palin quickly transferred Bristol to another high school and made her move in with Sarah’s sister Heather 25 miles away!
.
Never can tell. They were right about Edwards even after constant denials.

But in tis matter, from the begining, however, despite the hype, there was something about her — she just didn’t seem the wholesome mother. Soon thereafter, she left little doubt that she didn’t have much power or influence over her kids, and little doubt but that she was/is a good liar.

Joe Bidens daughter/using cocaine story….is it true?

  • Posted on July 26, 2010 at 1:23 pm

(newyorkpost.com) That story yesterday from the NY Post about someone filming VP-Joe Bidens’ daughter using cocaine at a club, kinda bugs me.
If it were true, according to the article, the person who took the pic “punched a hole” in their devise and tossed it in a lake. Shouldnt that person have saved the evidence for verification?

The Evil Old Lady – Based on True Stories Thats Presently Happening

  • Posted on January 25, 2010 at 7:08 am

Hello to All My Readers!!

Today I will be writing about an evil old lady based on true stories also presently happening as you read.. Her name is Gwan Yuk Lan. No, I do not know the meaning of her name. Mrs. Lan is 80 years old and very healthy. She has all her teeth, she can run fast, jog, perfect vision, great hearing and memory. Mrs. Lan has 5 daughters and 2 sons. 4 daughters in Ottawa, 2 sons in Ottawa and 1 daughter that chose to stay in China. Mrs. Lan is my grandma, my evil grandma. I am the youngest child in my family of 5 one older sister at 24 and one older brother at 25r. Mrs. Lan has lived with our family of 5 since all three of us were born!

1. Mrs.Lan use to be the one to bring us to the bus stop for school and pick us up from the bus stop from school just like every other granny’s would do. She was normal until we all hit our teenage years. So, who was the one who first noticed about Mrs. Lan’s evilness? Yes, indeed it was me! How? Let me tell you.. When I was about 14 years young I started catching Mrs. Lan doing all these annoying daily, evening routines that were absolutely pointless. I would also catch her do nasty things that would harm another human being. Not any other human being but blood family members including myself.

2. One day my family was out shopping and I decided to stay home while my grandma was downstairs. I got hungry and started to crave for milk so I went downstairs. As I was walking towards the kitchen Mrs. Lan did not hear me walk in and you would never believe what I seen. You know when you boil water you will pour it into those jugs to keep the water to stay hot? Well those.. So she got the water thing out and poured herself a glass of hot burning water. Right when she drank it near the end she poured back the rest of her leftovers back into the “thing”. That is very nasty. WHY? because we all drink from that, its like her telling us silently without anyone knowing to drink her saliva! Ewww.. like is she serious? On top of that how do we know how long she’s done that for. So now we gave her, her own personal water thing.

3. Many years back Mrs. Lan went to China to visit her oldest daughter. Thats when we realized that not only she was evil but her 5 daughters are worse. You would never believe what Mrs. Lan told her oldest daughter to do. So.. one day the family was eating dinner at home and next thing you know there was a phone call for my mother. Who was the other person on the other line? Yes, Mrs Lans oldest daughter. We never even met this lady that we call our aunt. anyways back to the point. So my mother is on the phone now asking who are you about 10 times. And the lady goes “your husband does’nt like you, he’s with “so and so”. You guys will divorce soon my brother told me so. My mom obviously don’t believe bullshit that she doesn’t see with her own eyes. So she told her I don’t believe what you say, I know who you are and don’t call back and hung up. Its obvious that Mrs. Lan has told her to do that or else how would she get our house number? I means its not in the phone book! I don’t know what it is with my grandma, or what she has against our family but whatever it is.. is not right at all..

Lest’s get straight to the point.. Why do I dislike her? what has she ever done to me?

Alot! not only what she does to me, shes the one who causes all the commotion in this house my parents put over her head. Shes the one whos trying to get my parents to have a divorce. Shes the one who makes my loving mother a life of a living hell. Nobody hurts my mother!! So let me tell you about the annoying things she does to me. I never use to have allergies until one day I thought allergies grown in me haha. One morning out of no-where I started to have very teary eyes, and I would keep on sneezing until I got my bum out of the bed to blow my nose because if I didn’t I would just keep sneezing with druling boogers down my nostril. I found out that it wasn’t allergies infact it was my grandmothers shedded skin I’ve been breathing in every night for the past 2 years. It became severe! How do I know its her shedded skin? Me and my grandma Mrs. Lan share rooms together and one day I snook into my room to see what she does. Mrs. Lan is a very sneaky person and you never know what she does so don’t blame me for being a curious young lady haha. Okay, So before I go on… You now how they say the older you are the more dry your skin is, so the more dry your skin is.. the more you get itchy.. so the more your itchy the more you shed? Well its true and whats worse is Mrs. Lan does not use lotion eaither. Mrs. Lan coming straight out of China she probably still don’t even know what lostion is and its 2009! anyways… So I sneak up the stairs and looked into my room and I catch her taking off her sweater, her shirt, her pants.. and basically each piece of clothing that she takes of she would shake the clothes over my bed where my pillow area is. Then she would take her pajama pants and wipe down her bed then take the pants and shake the pants over my bed again. Right now I got real mad but some how I needed evidence. So what did I do? I took my cellphone out and put it on record and got the evidence to show my parents. For the past 2 years I’ve been sniffing up all her dead skin cells including the extra dust tat was put onto my bed. That is just dusgusting!! 2 months ago I told my father that I will buy a lock to my room and lock my room up everytime I am out if she does that one more time. And of course.. 1st strike…2nd strike.. 3rd strike.. No.. I didn’t end up buying no lock because A. I didn’t know how to screw one on and B. My dad would object me from doing so. So what did I do.. I made my own.. I made my own by taking the entire door-nob OFF and now I am using the door-nob as a key to open the door! It’s not my fault! We gave her many warnings to stop but she wouldnt’ so she asked for that herself. Its not like we want to you know? Yes we feel sorry for her but really in truly I do not want to have that feeling of the so called allergies I had for 2 years. I know its her. and I know it was that because right after I made my own lock thing. I never even had a runny nose every again. IM happy! We are a chinese family, my parents and all the old generations believe in spirits, Buddha etc. So in my living room there is a stand with Mrs. Lans husbands picture on the stand because he’s passed away many years ago. And its there so she can pray to him. Its very hard to explain but you can ask the chinese about that and maybe they can define it better than I can. So anyways A couple days ago Jan/31/08. She was caught talking to the picture of her husband telling him to help her and to listen to her. And this is what she had said in Cantonese “You listen to me now, Their mother do not respect me at all.. Help me get them. I hope you get them. I hope they get hit by a car when they walk out of this house and die. I hope they get hit by a car and die!” ARE YOU SERIOUS? Does she not notice the things that she does is totally wrong? we tell her what mistakes she does what did we do wrong. Ya we know shes old but that doesnt mean we can let he do all those stupid nasty things right? Everything in her mind is normal how hard is it to just stop? Why only to this house? When she sleeps over its like different grandmother overcomes her body. To her other family she would show care.. she would call them by their names.. she would bring their shoes to them.. jackets.. whatever! To us? She never even said our names once.. does nothing but try to kill us.. I don’t get it!! Soo many other things on the list I want to write about but unfortunately there are too many.. I will stop now and keep looking out for more serious issues. Too Be Continued!

True Stories of Dangerous Food Allergies

  • Posted on January 19, 2010 at 4:07 am

Food allergies are quite common. In fact, a good percentage of the population suffers from food allergies. But the surprising thing is that most people just do not realize that they are living with food allergies. This is because in most cases, food allergies lead to symptoms that are ongoing and slightly troubling. Also, allergies may surface many hours after the food is taken in. So, victims do not make the connection. But, food allergies can interfere with your life because it can bring on unexplained problems, forcing you to lead a restricted and sometimes, pain-filled life.

However, in some people, food allergies can trigger an overwhelming, instantaneous reaction. Here are some real life examples of how food allergy can affect the life of people you love.

A 15 year old girl in Quebec, Canada died after she kissed her boyfriend. Examinations revealed that the girl had developed a severe allergic reaction to the peanut butter that the boy had eaten hours ago! The medical team that arrived to help the girl could do nothing to save her life.

Joanna was a healthy woman of 28 when she gave birth to her little daughter Kylie. Up until then, Joanna knew nothing about food allergies. But, 8 months after little Kylie was born, Joanna knew everything about nasty little food allergies. During a weekend vacation, Joanna happened to feed her daughter a formula that contained cow’s milk. Within hours of taking in the formula, Kylie developed angry red rashes all over her face, head and torso. Medical tests showed that Kylie was allergic to oranges and eggs besides cow’s milk.

For 15 years, Susan baffled doctors with her mild but persistent symptoms. She developed mild ear aches, felt listless and would throw up for no reason. Then, one day a chance conversation at a restaurant about food allergies made Susan carry out a food elimination test at home. She eliminated milk, then pepper, then fish, and finally eggs. A week into her egg free diet and Susan was a new woman.

On a night out with friends, Nathan was a little drunk when they decided to order a midnight breakfast. As it turned out, Nathan who knew he was allergic to Tobasco, ordered a pizza and spread tobasco sauce on it. Minutes after biting into the pizza, he developed breathing problems. His friends took him to the pharmacy but the pharmacist refused to give him a medication without a prescription. Nathan called his doctor on the cell phone, but the doctor did not answer. In desperation, Nathan called his mother who directed him and his friends to the doctor’s house, where the doctor gave him a prescription and accompanied him to the pharmacy.

As you can see, food allergies can hamper your lifestyle, whether they trigger immediate or slow, insidious reactions. In any case, it is important to know about your allergies and to carry medications or instructions regarding medications with you so people around you can help in case of a sudden allergic reaction.

Why My Family Needed a Water Filtration System: a True Life Experience

  • Posted on January 8, 2010 at 4:20 pm

My family needed a water filtration system for our home.  The chlorine content that the treatment facility says is “safe” makes our drinking water taste terrible.  My wife went to make spaghetti and found that yellow residue was all over the bottom of the pot.

I thought she was exaggerating, but you could see the yellow dust sink to the bottom as the water heated up.  She threw it out and cooked something else that night.  I put off going to the store that night.  It was late and I didn’t think that the need for a water filtration system was that severe.  I definitely thought it was safe for the dogs.

I went ahead and filled up their bowls and went to bed. During our morning walk, much to my dismay I found that all three of them had developed diarrhea and there was a distinctly yellow color to it, so it was pretty easy to identify the problem.

So, I went to the store and bought that water filtration system that screws on to the kitchen faucet.  After a couple of days, it started leaking.  I’m pretty handy, so I know that I installed the thing correctly.  By the end of the week, water was spraying everywhere whenever we tried to use it.  The dogs had gotten better, so we decided to give them bottled until I could do a little research and find a better quality water filtration system.

In the meantime, my daughter’s asthma got worse.  She would have several attacks every day, but only at home.  During an after hours visit to her pediatrician, I read in a health magazine that chlorine vapors trigger asthma attacks and that the effects are worst in the bathroom during a shower, but that the vapor can linger in the house throughout the day.  This added to my dilemma.  I didn’t even know that there was such a thing as a shower head water filtration system.

Through the internet, I found performance comparison charts and learned about things like certifications for the in home water filtration system.  It’s purely voluntary, but companies can have their products evaluate by independent laboratories and post the results.

I also learned that in addition to chlorine, there are thousands of other chemicals to worry about, along with things like cysts.  I had to look it up.  It refers to the “oocyst” stage of microscopic organisms.  During that stage, they are resistant to even chlorine disinfection.  So, the stuff that was making my daughter and my dogs sick wasn’t even protecting us from parasites or bacterial infections.

I found that there was a water filtration system for the whole house that could better protect my family’s health.  Since my wife and daughter both like to take baths, rather than showers, I thought it was a good investment.

Just wanted to share my story, in case you need a water filtration system, remember to do a little research first.  There are really good ones and really bad ones, so you really have to be careful.

“What Color Is Your Parachute?” a Good Choice for Finding Your True Calling

Several winters back, I had hired a strong group of performers. I worked hard at bringing out the best these folks had to offer both as individuals and as a team. I received a very positive review from my boss. He recognized my accomplishment as going beyond the call of duty when I had been taking for granted that I have a knack for running software projects on time and under budget.

At the time, I was also speaking monthly for a groups tending to the needs of job seekers.  One presentation I gave really got me thinking. I called it “Finding the Ideal Career for You” making use of great content from Richard Nelson Bolles’ book  “What Color is Your Parachute?” (You can check out my book review for more details.) The book contains a set of exercises great for helping people identify their transferable skills. So I put myself through these exercises as part of my prep work.

The exercise is simple. Write down several paragraphs about a problem you solved recently. The problem doesn’t have to be work related. It just has to be a problem you enjoyed addressing. The task is then to map the skills used to resolve the problem to the book’s transferable skills matrix.

I picked a challenge I faced organizing a kick off meeting and run for a marathon training team I coached. (Yes, I’m one of those overachieving weekend marathon runners who trains others to follow my insanity.) The kick off posed some unique challenges.

My fellow coach was out of town that weekend driving her daughter to college. Few of the runners had ever run long distance races and many of them were out of shape. The runners didn’t all fall into one neat running pack. We had runners with paces anywhere from 9 minutes to 15 minute per mile. We had a wheelchair athlete that was cutting her teeth on a marathon for the very first time ever.

The first step was to find a substitute coach. I coaxed a buddy of mine who had coached with me on a previous season. He agreed to organize the slower paced runners. I made a bunch of phone calls looking to identify someone with experience coaching wheelchair athletes. My persistence led me to an expert that shared his smarts with me. I contacted each runner via phone or email to get them pumped about a 6am Saturday run (Ugh!) and reassure them I could coach them to the finish line. My work paid off. The kick off was a success for everyone.

The next step is picking out the transferable skills from your write up and matching them into three categories: things, information and people. I got a lot more for giving this presentation that I expected. When I started mapping, I made an interesting discovery. I saw that most of my transferable skills and the ones I most enjoy using are people skills. I had used my persuasion skills to recruit a substitute coach. I used people skills to find someone in my circle of contacts who could advise me on coaching a wheelchair athlete. At the kickoff I delivered a kick off speech to the runners inspiring them and convincing them to stick with the program.

I picked several other problems to write up and came to similar results. This is not what this computer science graduate degree holder expected after spending most of his career as a programmer, software architect, and technology leader. It caused me to spend some more time reviewing if I was on the right track in my career. I had not done so in a while mainly because I had been so busy “making a living” that I failed to stop, review and reflect. I’ll write another post soon to discuss where this all took me. Lot’s of fun.

I highly recommend this book for those of you struggling with the question, “What do I want to do with the rest of my life?” So many people have relied on this book for it’s job hunting advice which is excellent while failing to turn to the last section which is just as good or better for finding a career that fits you. It maps out a systematic approach with very clear steps defined for confirming your new chosen career. This process includes use of informational interviews as a way to confirm your findings and possibly even land that next position.
