Have friend who’s detoxing..can I trust her?

soo this is a tricky situation, I have a friend who was a recovering heroin addict, she had gotten her life straightened out for two years then got into a bad a relationship, and started using again. In late Dec. she asked if her and her daughter could come here to get out of the situation she was in and I agreed, then within a week she left to go to her other friends who had kids her daughter could play with..so now it is late Feb. and she came to me again and said she has been using this entire time and wants to get clean and can she and her 3 year old can come here again…I agreed now they are here, she has been detoxing for two days…and then tonight I go into my computer room and notice my vase that I keep change in is emtpied and on the floor..at least 200 bucks..I wake her up and confront her and she completly denies it…looking me straight in the eyes saying she has not will not and never would do that..I know nobody else was in my house..what do I don now ..her and her kid have nowhere to go..need advice:(

Me and my oldest daughter disagree on this one. I say Whitney Houston even if she did get on crack cocaine. she had already made most of her music before this happened.

i have a friend who’s 16 year old daughter was caught smoking pot. what would you say to her when she says…

i would never do man-made drugs (meth, crank etc…) what’s wrong with smoking weed? i like the way it makes me feel. when her daughter asked why she should stop, her mom told her because i said so. well that was not good enough. she has been caught smoking weed with friends and in her backyard.
thanks so much for all the answers. her mom did have her take a drug test and she didn’t hesitate to admit she is smoking pot. it’s almost like she is proud of the fact that she smokes.

Who’s right, me or my new step-daughter? I just got married this past Saturday and there is already drama!?

My husband and I planned a small intimate backyard wedding, for just our closest family and friends. My two children (ages 14 and 7) live with us and his daughter, who is 21, lives 800 miles away. We flew his daughter up for the wedding, along with her boyfriend, with the understanding that they would stay with his sister so that we could have the weekend together after our wedding. We could not afford to take a honeymoon right now, as my children are both special needs and I will be starting law school in 2 weeks. His daughter got here 2 days before the wedding and he spent all day with her the day before the wedding itself. I spent some time with her the night before the wedding and she told me that she really loves me and is so happy that her father had finally found someone (he and her mother have been divorced for 18 years). The wedding ceremony was beautiful, but my new step daughter was upset at the seating arrangements. Her and her boyfriend both got too drunk to drive, so my new husband and I had to leave our wedding separately so he could drive them to his sister’s. When I got home, they were all at our house, with his daughter refusing to leave, saying she was too sick. This was my wedding night and I didn’t get any time with my husband (my children stayed with my parents so we could have our wedding night alone). The day after the wedding she insisted he spend time with her and her boyfriend because he doesn’t get to see her very often since she lives so far away and he can see me anytime. They all went out to a movie and dinner, leaving me at home. I was very upset that I had not gotten to spend any time with my husband since saying our vows. I discussed this with him and he agreed to enforce the agreement that his daughter go to his sister’s house. When he spoke to his daughter, she was very upset and again insisted he should be spending time with her. The next day was Monday and I had to return to work, so my husband had all day to spend with his daughter. When I returned home from work, before I even got a chance to get in the door of my house, my new step-daughter verbally assaulted me telling me that I was nothing but a b*tch and that I had no right to be upset. At that point my husband defended me and told his daughter that she had been being very selfish and that he should have been spending time with me on our wedding weekend. His daughter told him that he was choosing me over her and that she never wanted to see him again and she packed her things and left. She is now refusing to speak to her father. She says he has never done anything for her, even though we pay her rent every month. My question is was it unreasonable of me to want to spend the night of my wedding and the next day with my new husband? She keeps insisting that he should have been visiting with her, but I feel that she was flown up here for a wedding, not a casual visit. We fly her up to us at least twice a year and he flies down to her at least twice a year as well.

Im the daughter both parents are fighting for.Im 13 currently.I told my dad i wanted to live with him when i was 10 or 11.I was still a kid and didn’t know what i was saying.I love my mom and i wanna live with her currently and until im old enough to support myself.Now im scared who I’m end up with.
DAD:
Had a DWI.
Drinks about 30 beers a day.
Smokes a pack of cigarettes a day in the house.(Im allergic to smoke)
Only pays 56 dollars for child support every two weeks/no insurance for me
Barges in the room when im changing
Gives me NYQUIL every time i go over there to make me fall asleep evan put it in my bottle when i was a baby
no chores for me and doesn’t discipline
Never goes to school events
works for the city of san antonio and in the air force
wife called me lesbian
always make fun of me

Mom:
Moved a lot
Switched jobs a lot
I moved to different schools
drinks occasionally
Has chores for me discipline
she works from 5:30am to 8:00pm and takes weekends off
goes to all school events
Buys what she needs and wants

Who do you think will win the case evan though i said i wanted to stay with my dad?
the social studies lady said she would perfer me to be with my dad because my mom moves a lot and cause i said i wanted to when i was 10 or 11.BUt i dont and because my stepdad has a felony
mother has to move to different jobs too when we move.shes a good worker and can keep a job

Anyone whos been in love with an alcoholic?

I divorced an alcoholic 10 years ago but truthfully I never stopped loving him. He still drinks but would like to start again. For those who are or who have been involved with an alcoholic did you stay or leave & do you regret it? We have a daughter together & he’ll go months without calling but if we start over as he asked she’ll have her dad again. I don’t know what to do that’s why I need advice from people who have been through it.
